Dying light won't work Xbox one

So what the hell, I've gotten pretty far into it and now the game doesn't even launch. It just sends me right back to the dashboard. Anybody know how to fix it? I've tried unplugging my Xbox and reinstalling the game to no effect.

  • Couldn't really find much information in regards to this problem. Other people are experiencing the same or similar issues. Is it a physical copy or digital?

    • Open it from my games and apps? Sometimes opening it from different places can actually make it work in my experience.

Try these three things in this order: 1) Hard reset your Xbox. Hold the power button down for a few seconds till it turns off. Wait 30 seconds and then back on and try. 2) uninstall the game from your hard drive and reinstall. (Don't worry your story progress will be saved) 3) Finally try factory resetting your Xbox. But only as a last resort! Because this will wipe everything and you'll have to reinstall and set up your account again. Hope that helps. Just FYI for me a hard reset almost always works with problems. Especially if you play your Xbox for long periods of time. Edit: Read the bottom part of your post. You may have to jump straight to a factory reset. That's annoying sorry.

    • The only way to fix this is to restore your Xbox to default! It' the only thing that worked for me!

      • This happened to me on battle field 4 a couple times. Make sure there's not an update for it, it's fully installed or just keep trying to launch it
