anyone who doesn't think Fatebringer is the best primary in the game doesn't have it
Fatebringer is overall greater than any exotic primary (I also own all raid primaries besides abyss defiant)
Free exotic slot, firefly one shot one mob to kill 6, explosives to stagger majors, arc for weeklies and nightfalls
Edit: were talking pve here aka the real game not pvp aka the bonus mode Activision demanded when Cod fanboys saw Activision would be a part of this game.
Edit 2: I've checked some of you that have it and it isn't maxed out on you. If you don't have firefly and explosive rounds it's average with those and 300 max it's by far the best gun (note I have all exotic primaries on Xbox and all legendary raid primaries aside from abyss defiant)
Edit 3: most people don't like to put a lot into destiny youtubers but ya gotta admit those guys are better than most of us if they can do the abyss Melee only or kill Crota only by downing with fist of havoc. Check all of their primaries the majority of the time always Fatebringer unless they're trying to challenge themselves (yes even seeing them use it on hard mode Crota boss fight I don't but it is the only 300 weapon still good enough here)

1 ReplyRed Death and Suros allow you to heal in Crota Hard mode. Vex is extremely great for Wizards and other enemies in general (assuming you are capable of headshots). Mida is a blessing in the lamp section of crota and my favorite scout rifle. Thorn's DPS stops those stupid enemies shields from regenerating and allows me to solo the "kill the enemy" public events. Your point is mute.

I've played on my buds account and used it and it was nice but I still prefer my Ryl. That is definitely a godsend. I have used it since I first got it maybe a few weeks after the game was released. Still use it now. Ultimate Scout Rifle Ryl is Ultimate.

Across a broad spectrum of activities I would say Fatebringer is currently the best. I would disagree with you when it comes to specific tools for the job. My Gheleon's Demise has firefly, quick reloads (IB gloves), rodeo and stagger rounds and has a larger clip and does similar damage to the Fatebringer. It's on my Warlock now. For HM Crota (Crota) it's the only primary I will use. How is Fatebringer better than my Gheleon's Demise assuming it's not arc burn?

Fatebringer is an amazing weapon. Definitely one of my all time favorites. But it's been reduced to a crowd control weapon. Word of Crota (when it gets fixed, hopefully soon) is the clear handcannon choice for higher level encounters, especially bosses. The damage output difference, while it doesn't seem significant, matters when death isn't optional in something like Crota's End. I still use Fatebringer in missions like Nightfall and the dailies, but it's not my choice for Crota's End.

(Aka the lamp section for Crota) But I find myself using other primaries such as word of Crota and abyss defiant. I haven't used my fatebringer ever since. It's been stuck on one of my characters ever since. Once the House of wolves DLC come out though the fatebringer will be weak unfortunately.

It's good, but not the best. Might be because I tend to use the Icebreaker as a Primary... But for now I honestly prefer the Abyss Defiant. Very accurate, very strong and it messes with Wizards.

I have 3 maxed out and its a fantastic good....but i like my fang of iy tui (or how u spell it?) This is my new favourite primany. Might not be the best but it was the one i wanted from hard mode. I would never use an extioc primany and i have 3 suros and 3 vex just nothing better than icebreaker or ghorn

And although I've had my special moments with this weapon, and it has certainly got me out of the shit a few times... It now resides on my Hunter who I never use unless it's a Tuesday... I just find the new raid primary (the Abyss Defiant especially), to be more fun to use, hell even Word of Crota without the explosions I enjoy using... It is still just as powerful, and the reason it feels weird and dull, is because you're so used to one/two shotting minions and then taking another 5-15 out with the firefly... You actually forget how to take those 7-17 minions out withOUT firefly perk, and have more fun in the process. Anybody who STILL thinks Fatebringer is the best weapon in the game, is either a Kinderguardian, or someone who can not let go of the past...

Fatebringer is a great goto weapon. But I've been kind of bored with it and have been using other weapons. I will say though with all the high health enemies on Crota Hard it's not that great. I go with Fang of Ir Yut. You can fire that thing continuously.
