Destiny economy - exotic weapons

Having a background in the banking industry of roughly 15 years already, I'd like to drop a few thoughts on the Destiny economy. Before you say "another post of that kind", I'd like to add that I believe it's important to speak up loud so that Bungie hears our voices and can improve it's game. I understand that Bungie wants people grinding their game for loot. That's why so much is RNG and the likelihood to some most wanted weapons is really low. At the same time they have thought about somebody like Xur, who is supposed to sell few weapons to those who didn't have been lucky enough to have an exotic drop. However, the system appears to be broken. First of all, many of us were complaining that Xur was selling crap only; but then he came up with Ice Breaker a week ago and we heard other complaints in the forums that the weapon wasn't "earned" and hence not deserved by all these guys buying it from Xur. In the end I understand, many thought the weapon was given away too easy, hence too cheap. From my understanding the problems arise from the prices not being balanced. 1.) Bungie has to admit that there are top-notch exotics like Gjallarhorn, Suros Regime, Hawkmoon, Ice Breaker, .... (whatever, that's for other parties to decide. But we had a pretty good survey here at reddit some time ago, Bungie could as well catch up on something like that or their own statistics. http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2qn6mp/ranking_destinys_exotic_weapons_tdb_edition_take/) 2.) Bungie needs to accommodate the respective values of their weapons. They should sell the top-notch weapons at higher prices, but more frequently than in the last months. -) e.g. sell the top-notch weapons for e.g. 80 strange coins, but offer them more often for sale. I believe everyone would agree, it would be much fun to grind for strange coins, whatever effort it might be, and get a specific weapon he wants in the end. -) If you consider 80 strange coins still not enough, then let's make it higher - take 100 coins or whatever Bungie thinks to be adequate. -) In case that many coins appear to be too much, ok let's take something like 10 exotic shards. So purchase shards or dismantle other exotics that you got as loot, but you don't need, and get the one exotic you want as exchange. -) Bungie could also implement some new "currency". For anything they define as appropriate in the game you could get some new material -> let's say for some specific effort like beating Crota, you're getting with a very high likelihood this new material. And if you have 5 of these drops, you can change them into a Gjallarhorn. (So in the end it translates into defeat Crota 5-8 times and you'll get a guaranteed Gjallarhorn or whatever.) Maybe Xur could even sell two weapons per week in the future? One very rare expensive exotic for guys who play for months, have lots of coins and thus 'deserved' it, and a 17-21 coins exotic like today, for those who are newer to the game and don't have that many coins yet. In the end all I am saying is that Bungie needs to adopt to the value of their weapons and should give their players a more reliable way to obtain the most wanted weapons in the game, but then at adequately high prices/effort. Like nowadays, only saying it's RNG, with very low possibility to get what you want, seems not to be working that smoothly. If you have to hope for the lottery at the end of each game is getting really frustrating, when you're losing in this lottery too often. Please don't confuse this posting with whining - I want to propose how the game could be improved, reflecting that there are whining so many that didn't get their drops even after playing Destiny for several hundred hours.
