Whoever says counterstrike is a moron. The game has bloom in it. It has a random variable.

2 RepliesHalo with BR's and no random damage guns (AR's etc.)

Counter Strike for sure
-
Underappreciated but still difficult. Killzone a weapons felt the most realistic in any game. Also very difficult yet satisfying.

3 RepliesI think it's odd that cs is up there with halo and battlefield, to be completely honest. I get that the shooting and grenade mechanics in cs are less forgiving, but that's pretty much the entirety of what you'd need to learn to succeed in that game. Halo and battlefield require you to master way more diverse mechanics than counterstrike. Not only gunplay and proper nade tactics, but also requiring you to learn how to operate various vehicles and counter them. To be a good battlefield player for example, you'd have to master tanks, lav's, assault and transport boats, 3 different classes of helicopters, and 2 different classes of jets. That's not even mentioning the huge amount of guns and gadgets in bf4 that you need to familiarize yourself with. Meanwhile, cs requires, what, learning recoil patterns of about 12 different weapons and learning how to use the handful of grenade types effectively? C'mon now.

1 ReplyLove halo and cs .glad to see them top

3 RepliesDestiny doesn't require skill anyway. It's just "Whoever has the Most OP weapon Wins!"

3 RepliesEveryone saying counter strike: I've only played source, but here's what happens there. Buy sniper, buy flash bang, corner camp, rinse and repeat. Counter strike takes some skill, but other games are more skill based. Of course there are other counter strike games, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Edited by Toa Axis: 2/25/2015 2:20:00 AMQuake>Unreal Tournament>Counter Strike>everything else. Edit: Can probably throw Tribes somewhere in there as well.

5 RepliesUnreal Tournament, or GoW 1, the multiplayer on GoW played out so much quicker than the single player due to exploitation of the cover mechanics, the learning curve for new players was so unforgiving, and compensating for bullet lag with snipers felt rather rewarding.

7 RepliesGoldeneye 64. Beating some of those times was a bitch. Then beating ur friends times and stats always added a new objective.

8 RepliesEdited by Deleted235708: 2/3/2015 1:29:13 AMI guess Counter-Strike with the limited time objectives and one life per round. Doom, you can just change the difficulty. The rest are basic and everyone has the same chance of winning, so the only thing difficult about those is how bad the player is at the game.
Destiny is an open world shooter not an FPS, ask Bungie.
What is so "open" about it. They also said it was MMO and we see how that turned out. It's technically FPS, they're just trying to make their game sound like it has content.

Edited by Zaniel Aus: 2/24/2015 7:35:42 AMUnreal Tournament (ok ok, or Quake) The game requiring the most batshit insane aiming ability goes to Tribes, no contest.

Edited by Tripp13: 2/23/2015 11:35:18 PMJokes on Bungie cuz their "open world" is smaller than some battelfield maps lol i picked CS though. Because no scope.

3 RepliesCS, Halo and even battlefield in some regards all deserve the top spot.

3 RepliesI've spent little time in counterstrike, so imo of these options, Halo. With Halo 3 in mind. And it looks like people have already suggested them, but Quake and Unreal are definitely games you should give a go ;)
