Here's a couple ideas that I think would be pretty cool to have as well:
Banshee's Re-Roll Service
"Finally, he has even more things to do..."
Let's face it, the whole re-roll concept is a great idea, but why limit that feature to simply the Iron Banner? The Iron Banner weapons are so special to a lot of people because they are able to truly make those weapons theirs. Guardians feel a special bond with those weapons simply because they can customize the perks on it to fit their own individual needs and wants. Imagine having that special bond with all non-exotic weapons?
The Active EXP Meter (Post Lv.20)
"The return of knowing how much EXP is earned per kill."
A small, yet fun change. For those who enjoy the grind in RPGs, knowing how much EXP (in terms of numbers) you get from enemies is such a rewarding experience. Yet after level 20 the Active EXP Meter on the bottom of the player's HUD goes away and you are no longer able to see how much EXP you earn per kill. Although you cannot earn any more EXP for Levels after Lv20, Guardians are still leveling up weapons, armor, and Motes. This fact alone still makes the Active EXP meter relevant even after hitting Lv.20. (Just to clarify further, I am not speaking about the In-Menu EXP Meter that is only visible when you hit the Start button.)
Transmogrification
"For that Special Snowflake in all of us."
For those of us who don't know Eva Levante, she's the Guardian Outfitter. She's been dressing up Guardians and making them look dashing for years. Yet there is a skill she has yet to show off, the process of Transmogrification or in layman's terms: the ability to look the way you want with any of the non-exotic pieces of armor (common to legendary) and upgrade them with the perks you want with the stats of a legendary piece. This process would probably be best suited with a sort of fusion/dismantle system. Breaking down one piece of armor and fusing the stats with another.
The Community Center
"An update to the Weekly Update...ironic."
What's up Doc? Oh well that would be the Community Center, where DeeJ or the Dev Team recognizes some of the concerns of the Community and talks about them. This section can discuss what are some of the community ideas that Bungie is excited to work on, some of the ideas that they never even thought of, and some of the ideas that are in the works. It is a good way to know that all our "talking" is actually being "listened" to.
The Lore Master
"I could tell you about the Collapse, I could tell you about the spread of the Darkness...actually I think I will."
What could be better than reading a Grimoire Card? How about a new NPC in the Tower called the Lore Master that has audio recordings of each Grimoire Card complete with beautiful hand-painted visuals that coincide with the audio recordings? Similar to Halo's Terminals.
Rep Standings Menu
"Your Rep...on demand."
A new menu between Inventory and Settings that allows you to see all your Rep, from Vanguard to Iron Banner. No longer would it be required, from an in-game perspective, that you make a trip to the Tower to see where you stand in a certain faction.
Cutscene Skip
"Hold B to Skip."
I think this one is pretty self-explanatory. From "There's nothing left....not even the light...where's his Ghost?" to "These coordinates put the Gate to the Black Garden near the lost city of Freehold." to "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain." All skippable with a simple press of B.
Guardian's Resolve (Firefight)
"Under the Ishtar Academy lies a training facility that bred Guardians. Survive for as long as possible and become Legend."
Dr. Shim, training simulation 197-B is active and ready to begin. Multiple simulated maps are online and ready to go at your command. Guardians, prepare yourself for never ending waves of enemies forged in Darkness. As you progress new Skulls will become active and Boss Waves will spawn in intervals of 10. Your chance at survival is 0% so make it as long as you can. This advance simulation will grant you EXP per enemy downed and glimmer per Major/Ultra/Boss killed. Simulated enemies also have a chance to drop engrams and enemy loot (Black Wax Idols, Network Keys, etc). This is as life-like as it gets, Guardians, so get ready.
Post level 20 EXP meter is there already; put your cursor over the huge "20" armor rating in the inventory screen, and it shows your progress to the next Mote of Light (level).
-
Indeed, that specific EXP meter is still there, but that's not what I'm talking about. Pre-Lv20 you had an active EXP meter bar on the bottom of your screen which not only showed you how close you were to leveling up, it actively notified you on how much EXP you were earning per enemy killed, patrol mission completed, boss destroyed, etc. Once you hit level 20 this active meter goes away. For those of us who have a background in playing traditional JRPGs from the time of the SNES, knowing how much EXP you are earning in the format of raw numbers is always a mini-thrill. This is what I'm talking about, and in fact I should probably clarify that in my post since you are not the first to have been confused by this.

I loved firefight in halo, my son and I would team up and run it for hours on end. It was the best. It would be so awesome to have firefight in Destiny.

I've been talking about the Rep menu forever and a day - Or perhaps you could go to that rep mark - scroll the pointer over it and you're given the number of the rep for that faction for that particular piece of faction gear Love the Transmog - simple mechanic And I especially loved the idea of a loremaster - That would be very cool
