blade dancer v.s. gunslinger

In my opinion I think blade dancer is better because it's more powerful. The golden gun is good for bosses but it's kind of weak. And I know that I have not used blade dancer yet but I don't really like golden gun. Plus when you use blade dancer you can go invisible. Well that's just my opinion but use what you want.

  • Gunslinger all the way. I've noticed most people who use Bladedancer, especially in the crucible, are the ones who struggle to get kills. They have to rely on a super to get kills. I have all three classes with all six subclasses fully unlocked, and gunslinger requires the most skill, and is the most rewarding. Only if you could blink as a gunslinger, it would be unstoppable. Although the jump does give you time to reload. Bladedancer's only use is to revive teammates in PVE.

  • Depends on situation. Golden gun is great vs oracles for example but when doing a nightfall bladedancer because if something goes wrong invisibility to get others up is brilliant. Both have there uses really

  • I always play Blade Dancer, the invis alone makes it that much better than a golden gun. If Golden gun would actually be powerful enough to do any damage i would consider it, but right now....all my weapons do more dmg than golden gun, nevermind that it wont crit....totally useless

  • When you become far advanced down the line of using hunters you use both classes in tandem. But you do end up preferring 1 over the other. Dunno people who use 1 class only are either newer or dependent.

    • Lol if you are a hunter and you favor one class over the other.... Go play a titan. Hunters are resourceful characters that rely on speed and agility and common sense to be effective. You could really break it down simple, do you like guns? Gunslinger is the only class in the game where you can constantly buff your gungame with no cool down time hence skill is required for headshots. the super is a gun, you CAN miss. not to put pressure on you, but clocks ticking pull that trigger guardian. You got to keep a level head and make each shot count. "One shot one kill no luck all skill." For trashing bosses you got rockets/ machine guns for trashing the mob at the bosses feet, golden gun. Not to mention, tripmine i cannot tell you how many freaking people complain about this. throwing knife!!! Lol chuck it at a thralls head, resets your throwing knife and trigger chain of woe! Peg unsuspecting guardians with it in crucible. They think they got you then oops tables have turned. Bladedancer I am a jedi knight (that looks like boba fett!!!) Warlocks may try to tell you space magic...but yeah no one wants to be emperor Palpatine, (no one.) Grab that lightning sword and tear those titans apart like the plastic covered storm troopers they wish they where. Bonus: activate the one ring of power, go off radar shove Sting through that other guardian, or who ever may decide it needs to be stabbed in the back of the head. Casually snipe! While you may not reload as fast as gunslinger in this case you have weapons ready! Swap to that primary! Seriously both classes are awesome not like you're self res-ing because " i need health in hard raid boo hooo." And you're also not running in shoulders first to spam, fist of panic. "Tell a titan only a madman would go. Tell a warlock it's too complex"

Both should be maxed and you switch depending on the situation. Sticking with one ONLY is playing with half of a character.

Bladedancer = PVP Gunslinger = PVE Gunslinger tip: Symbiote helmet for extra golden gun shot Bladedancer tip: knucklehead helmet for visible radar when aiming primary

          • Gunslinger 100% blade dancer is ok but people can still see you when your "invisible" to me golden gun is very reliable way to get kills in PVP and if have the perk where golden gun victims explode. You could get more than 4

          • I used to be 100% gunslinger, until I maxed out my Bladedancer subclass. Now I'm about 95% Bladedancer. Really the only time I ever switch to Gunslinger is for the jumping puzzle/Atheon in hard mode VoG because triple jump makes the puzzle easy and golden gun is great for oracles and suplicants. The rest of the time I'm usually Bladedancer because all the invisibility perks + Don't Touch Me gauntlets are hella useful in the higher lev content.

I have both maxed and I find Blade Dancer more versatile because of all the abilities it gets. Even though they're situational, we have so many of them that we can mix and match them for a lot of occasions. However, I find Gunslinger much more passive and controllable. Unlike Blade Dancer, Gunslingers don't have special skills they can rely on for certain situations, instead we have passive enhancers that gradually increase our gun play. If I had to choose, I'd say that most of the time I use Blade Dancer over Gunslinger because of the variety I can fall back on in the case a certain build doesn't work. On the other hand, I needed to sweep large amounts of enemies at one time, Gunslinger is the better choice because of the passive enhancements.

            • I use Gunslinger 10 times out of 10. GG may not be very powerful, but Chain of Woe and Gunslinger's Trance make a great combo, and instantly resetting throwing knives are great.

            • BladeDancer for me. BladeDancer has a lot of synergy with its abilities and perks, so there are many different ways to use it. GunSlinger has a general uniformity in the way it is used (not that that's bad), and since this way doesn't involve specialty in close quarters, I prefer to stick to BD. Gunslinger has much better grenades, tho.

            • Ill agree with your opinion, but in all the circumstances im in, I find gunslinger better. Honestly theyre equally powerful, but GG has range. You can stay back and shoot instead of getting in the enemies face. Plus If your super runs out and youre in a mob of enemies, it'll be tough to get out. The only thing that sucks bout Gunslinger is it has no invisiblity :')

              • Bladedancer is great with Don't Touch me Gauntlets and the right setup, but GG is better for Orbs and helping the team.

                • I thought the same but at the end both are usefull. Gunslinger has better n8s and is more save. Bladedancer makes a lot of fun and is also quite usefull for weak guys

                • It's situational so you really can't say one sub class is better than the other. Bladedancer is almost useless in boss fights, only thing they have is that invisible perk when in goldengun perk is stability and faster reload with an awesome triple jump. I personally use golden gun for almost everything except if I'm running as a sword bearer in crota raid.
