Every stat on the Fatebringer is better. They are adding firefly to hand cannons in TTK because of how dominant Fatebringer is today. Damn those necro bumpers....this post was beat to death over the stupidity of this comment when the flow sheet came out showing that WoC only did 13 more damage on a level 33 knight over a FB. That's without the perks which FB blows WoC away on.

Luls the fatebringer does almost the same damage as the word of Crota although it's a 300 damage weapon. The fact that we can upgrade it to max damage on HOW release means you can see the damage difference yourself soon. Fatebringer is better unless it's void burn only.

5 RepliesFatebringer IS better than word of Crota. Outlaw and firefly are so much better than zen moment and a broken perk. Impact is higher, it has field scout. Word of Crota is garbage.

do actual gameplay trials with two guns, run the same mission with them and give each one of one the same respect you will see that the Fatebringer is a much better cannon over all.... but then again if you prefer the woc... then you are a woc guy! majority of the players that I've played with show more desire to get the Fatebringer than the woc!

Word of Crota does Void damage .... Remind me again how many void shielded enemies are in the Crota raid .... That is where you said you are using it. I'll just upgrade my Fatebringer to 365 in may. [spoiler]but I may take the word of Crota back to the VoG [/spoiler]

It all a matter of preference they are different kinds of hand cannons for different people I personally like low rate of fire high impact weapons so I tend towards fatebringer other people like higher rates of fire ie the word ones not out right better it's all about the person using it

3 RepliesFatebringer is better because more people covet the fatebringer. Arc damage is the most commonly used damage in the game. And HOW centers around the fallen more than 80 percent of the Fallen use arc. I like the WOC like I like all hand cannons but fire fly in itself separates the men from the boys. People who say it doesn't matter are people can't make headshots on the norm. I have all the guns in the game and no matter what I seem to always go back to my fatebringer.

4 RepliesNope not buying it, Fatebringer is still by far better than Word - What percentage of enemies are Hive majors in the game as a whole.... <5% what percentage are Trash Mobs ~90% Using Black Hammer as a Special weapon means you can wreck a Hive Major (Any Major) in very few shots for no ammo consumed. Word is ok, the perk is meh, it's element is useful for... Minotaurs- which have no critical rendering the other perk useless. No Field Scout - so if you dont have armour with extra Hand-Cannon ammo you are limited. Rapid fire yes but it is slow to reload, which probably evens out DPS with FB. It is nowhere near a sniper, even with the Range upgrade, using the range perk means you can't have flared magwell (or whatever it is- so you are stuck with the slow reload time) It can be awkward to aim sometimes due to the width of the gun being distracting.
