300 Attack does NOT do full damage to lvl 30 enemies
Yea I know BUT FATEBRINGER!!!! That's probably fine for now but HoW will have 365 attack and in a month you'll be doing 30% less damage. Pretty substantial.
There are obviously a few exception such as Fatebringer in CE HM thralls or certain perks on some weapons. But all things being equal people should understand how damage works and more replies have clearly showed they don't.
Do your own research. Google it. Try it. You can probably get away with a 300 now, but with the expansion pack and 365 attack weapons, they will become obsolete doing 30% less damage (speculation). This started as an honest question, as I am new to the game and trying to figure things out, people seem to think I want to change the 2nd amendment and take away their Fatebringer.

Spoiler alert: 14.5% more damage." ...maybe I'm just misunderstanding this, but imo if you want to get relevant comparison you have to compare Maxed 331 vs. Maxed 300 (not stock) ideally also with same impact other than the above i pretty much agree, maxed 331 guns do more damage than 300 ones, in General however they do Max damage to certain enemies - 300 gun up to lvl 30 enemy etc (in other words you will deal the exact same damage to lvl 5 Dreg regardless of whether you use maxed 331 or 300 handcannon) then there's the damage penalty (i.e. Handcannons have damage penalty to Majors, unlike Auto rifles for example) then there's guns such as Fatebringer which you use mainly for its perks
