Why do sunsingers use self res in CROTA hard?
Do YALL suck that much? First, Oversouls is tough af to kill, and if you get down and have to shoot it, it ruins the entire rotation.
(Crota encounter only, still I can't see how you die in any other part)
(I said self res not radiance, for those who have no comprehensive skills)
(For those saying I suck because you think I struggle with oversoul, if you die while on the ledge you are utter trash, the only possible way you should die is during a transition where nobody has time to shoot the oversoul.)
(Swordbearers can be exempt I guess, but If Crota Hulk smashes you that still messes up timing)
(Never said I couldn't kill oversoul, I said it messes up timing)

6 RepliesYep, i am agreed for Crota encounter the only usefull solution for self res - is when u die inside cristal room - the u can self res safely with no oversoul..But u know, just dont die in crystal room.. Instead of it protection can be helpfull. But all in all, it really doesnt matter, coz radiance needed only for shards and for hp regen if u have apothesis veil.

I use fusion grenades to kill the Knights and I always get 8 orbs. That and I'm too lazy to switch when we get there.

2 RepliesJust beat crota yesterday. I was sword bearer. For some reason on the last 7 hits he gets up faster (must be because he's enraged), he killed me but I told everyone to shoot all their ghorns. After I saw two rockets explode I self-resurrected and killed crota. Now fight that

I use sun singer with radiant skin so if I get in a oh shit moment I immediately pop my super and have extra damage resistance plus I can be more agressive for a brief moment

I use sunsinger with song of flame and create orbs with my fusion grenades, works great no need for fireborn.

To bring yourself back to shoot the Oversoul and to keep fighting. Best option for crota.

How is a warlock dying different from hunter or Titan dying? Titan or hunter dies you are down 1 man for the rest of that run. At least if a warlock dies he can self res and you can continue the run with a full team.

Its a lot easier to beat him with 6 than it is with 5. Killing over soul is not that bad. Not everyone runs that middle strategy. My clan runs it successfully using the left side strategy. All it takes is one cursed thrall to come up behind you or a boomer getting off a shot to severely damage someone. If you use a strategy where you shouldn't even get hit, maybe you have an argument, but if you run the strategy on the left or right, you're going to take damage. Just saying.

I use radiant skin and the veil for health recharge and damage resistance when I'm close to death. I then spam solar nades to make the swordbearer go where my team wants him and to block off thralls.

I've died from crota shooting me from the middle and I was on the middle ledge...

I use voidwalker, but on my second character I have to use sunsinger. On my second character I use self res because if I end up dying for some reason (which I don't 98% of the time) I can self res so the team isn't a man down because of me. The reason I have to use sunsinger on that character is because I made it back when I liked sunsinger, and don't want to take the time to rank up the voidwalker subclass.

oversouls die fast if your team doesn't suck. I don't wait to use it when I die. I pop it near thralls and generate a ton of orbs for my team. Orbs give them health and supers which give you orbs which give you health and supers.

yea I use self res only when I run the sword cuz sometimes I get clipped by Crota and there's nothing I coulda done about it so I like to have the res in the pocket. otherwise I run radiant skin with praxic Fire and generate orbs for my guys and then switch to apotheosis veil
