Potential Strange Coin Reward Bug
Ever since the 1/12/15 hot fix (Fixed an issue with Ascendant Materials no longer being a possible reward for Daily gold-tier public events), I haven't received a strange coin as a public gold-tier award. Has anyone else noticed this potential bug?

Drops from public events are random. It is possible to not see that reward for a stretch of gameplay.

Just to close the loop on this, I did get a strange coin for completing a daily gold tier public event yesterday, 1/31. That was my first strange coin since the hot fix so it is possible in case anyone else was wondering the same thing.

Yes, I realize it's random and this still falls within probability. But it's unlikely that before the patch, we would get strange coins occasionally. But in the last 2 weeks, not a single one out of 30+ daily public events; only shards and energy from the postmaster. We have gotten strange coins from rare engrams, but not daily public event rewards.

Thanks everyone for responding so quickly. I am glad to hear it is still possible to get strange coins as a daily gold-tier reward. I wish strange coins dropped more frequently than ascendant shards and materials. I noted it may be a potential bug because I received one strange coin for 7 or 8 days straight right before the hot fix. Now that the hot fix is in place, I haven't received one since, although it sounds like that is normal since it is random and it only been two weeks.

Just because you haven't had a strange coin randomly drop does not necessarily mean it's a bug.
