Figured out it was about time to start upgrading my Bad Juju. Man, was that a bad idea. I felt like I just reached puberty and tried fondeling breasts for the first time. Felt awkward, and I was just clumsy and out of my comfort zone.
What's your excuse for using a Pulse Rifle?
*edit*
After reading through your posts, and seeing how many have a positive experience with PR, I've decided to give it another go with Bad Juju (combined with my Obsidian Mind). Thanks for the productive feedbacks

They're good and fun? If you can shoot with some semblance of precision and consistency you can wreck with pulse rifles. Bad Juju + Obsidian mind is really unnecessary. You're wasting your exotic weapon slot. Here's why: Bad Juju and nova bomb are excellent against the same kind of enemies. Weak thrall/dreg hordes of red hp. Sure both damage tougher stuff just fine, but they don't excel against tougher enemies like they do against hordes of weak stuff. So you could also just... nova bomb. obsidian mind will give you back a ton, and with high intellect and a proper build, have nova bomb again in just a few moments. I'm speaking from experience. I hope by now people realize the gains are minimal and it's costing you an exotic slot. That said I love bad juju.

Because my praedyths timepiece does arc damage which is great for those arc burn nightfalls
-
Cause no one in Crucible realizes they're getting hit until it's too late. Low Impact means slower reaction time, strangely enough. That vibration you feel when getting hit is based off the strength of the weapons Impact.
-
Red Death.
-
Like said above. Bad Juju is a very solid if not great gun. Especially in combo with Obsidian Mind.
-
I use one to get the grimoire score for max kills. Other than that there is no reason. I prefer hand cannons or my suros
-
The high damage ones are quite good. Super Pox VLO was my first legendary weapon and it was my go-to until I became a hand cannon guy. Three Little Words is the currently buyable 331 equivalent. The low and ultra-low Impact pulse rifles need really strong perks to justify their use. String of Curses certainly qualifies. I'm currently leveling up Oversoul Edict (Arc damage plus good anti-hive perks). Otherwise dismantle.

Edited by Combo164: 1/26/2015 8:55:58 AMI use them for diversity. Handcannons for hunter Assault rifles for titan Pulse rifle for warlock Scout rifles for everyone when range is needed with decent damage and accuracy Though I've used them a bit less since my warlock has the mythoclast, I swap it out for bad juju here and there. Really want red death
-
Honestly, I like them. They're a bit hipster and stuff, but a controlled burst just feels better to me than full auto. Bad Juju is wonderful since the patch, even holds it's own in Crucible. Combined with Obsidian Mind it's an absolute monster. Wish I had Red Death. It's sexy, and the last good pulse I care about getting.
-
I use a pulse rifle because I can't get a decent auto rifle.. I am working on the bad juju though, so hopefully it's worth it
-
Most pulse rifles are trash but bad juju and red death are good. The crota pulse rifle isn't bad either
-
Edited by Kinkled: 1/26/2015 3:30:30 PMThe only decent ones are bad juju and red death other then that there all bad
-
Forget your edit, they're trash - don't bother. Next.

I lean towards scouts/handcannons but.... Bad JuJu got me started on pulse but that was 1.0, even upgraded it was badly in need of a buff which it eventually received. With obsidian mind voidwalker it really shines when clearing mobs, my warlock carries it -rarely loaned to my hunter/titan. I usually put it away at boss time so special/heavy exotics can do their thing. Red Death can be pretty amazing too, especially now that CE has the part with no health regen. Took me a while to get use to playing a bit different with it on story/strikes - who needs cover, just keep shooting and your health stays up when taking out mobs. Three Little Words is a legendary pulse worth a try to free up exotic slots- good change of pace every now and then from the scout/handcannons I usually have.
-
Bad Juju and my 123 Syzygy aren't too bad. Rest that I've tried are pretty crap
-
Oversoul edict is a beast when ranked up all the way and is also full auto. It's the only pulse rifle I really like and I have juju and red death in my inventory.
-
Red death
-
Got oversoul edict and i love it and I never use pulse rifles
-
I use it on Mars, not earth.
-
Oversoul edict is a beast. My favorite weapon I've used in this game so far
-
Pulse rifles suck in this game way underpowered. People claim bad juju is even remotely good only use you on low level enemies or weak high level(thrall). There are not a gun you stick with throughout something like you would the VoC or even fatebringer
-
The Stranger's Rifle is pretty useful in PvP, especially with maxed stability perks.
I keep wishing for an upgrade for this one to Legendary...
-
Obsidian Mind with Bad Juju is -blam!-ing incredible. The Red Death is very useful if youre the swordbearer. The Timepiece is really underrated , it shoots just as fast as an above average fire rate auto rifle and its better for arc nightfalls than fatebringer imo. The pulse rifles that are not unique however pretty much just suck and are all the same. I really hope to get the new pulse rifle though
-
Some guys over on the subreddit mathed hand cannons and pulse rifles and figured out that hand cannons do more damage per shot than pulse rifles deal with a full burst. This means that most hand cannons have a better damage to mag ratio than pulse rifles.
-
Pulse rifles are great I've personally found the bad juju, praedyths timepiece, and oversoul edict to be amazing .
-
The Bad Juju trick, Red Death for CE Hard Mode, and mostly because they make us unique from most of the auto-rifle using population.
