how to Buff Word of Crota
Okay guys, we all know Word of Crota needs a buff. The ammo is not that great (as in the ammo you can carry, not the magazine) the impact blows, and there aren't any original perks.
My suggestions:
1.) full auto
2.) firefly
What do you guys think? Name some ways to buff this piece of crap gun we were rewarded for beating the hard mode.

1 ReplyNechrochasm sucks ass too. Does it mean we should change it to be like vex mythoclast? No. Why would we change the gun to be an exact copy of one that already exsists. Just buff the vog guns so we can get a 331 fatebringer and just delete this shitty word of crota.

Itd be nice if they gave it penetrating rounds like thorn has, not as good as fatebringer but a boost to crowd control.

Don't knw how to buff it but thankfully it's not a replacement for the fatebringer, still does damage in the HM CE raid

3 RepliesI don't think they have any intention of buffing the new Crotas end weapons. I think they realized that the VoG legendary weapons were (for the most part) too OP and a lot of them were head and shoulders better than their exotic counterparts and that's why the new guns are the way they are. Just my opinion on that though.

It seems to be about one second or less. The perk proc'd on the first shot, and the third shot (firing as fast as I could land shots). There were times however where it did not proc on the third shot. Possibly due to firing a millisecond faster than previous tests. Tested at Crota's Checkpoint in HM, by a level 32 Warlock. BUGS: Phantom Gift does not work with explosive rounds. Phantom Gift does not work with Hive Disruptor. TLW: Word of Crota does 286 more damage against Major Knights (Precision Hit) Word of Crota does 20 more damage against Acolytes (Precision Hit) If you don't use explosive rounds then the precision damage will be the same, and the non precision shots will do less. However, you are using the Hive Disruptor perk, then that perk boosts the non-precision shots to about the same as with explosive rounds, against Hive Majors. I will work on getting numbers for a level 32 target also. Along with some range numbers if I have the time. (since fatebringer has longer range)

I have the fatebringer which as it stands does 23 less damage than the word of crota with the exception of hive majors. That being said if I want firefly I use my fatebringer. The word is a nice handcannon if they want to fix it then fix the perk so we can have our chance at 17 rounds

Full auto, just no it'd suck and the whole point of phantom gift is precision shots and it's not TLW and we know that sucks in PvE Now I think seen as its only dropped by crota it needs a unique perk I like the poison clouds and shrieker blast people have said about but only on precision kills like firefly

The pulse rifle is like me banging my girlfriend low impact but high rate of fire

Gah. Let's just make it so each shot heals you to full health, precision shots initiate a nuclear explosion and auto-fill your magazine. Am I doing it right? -_______- Just cuz our precious Handcannon isn't top dog for a change does not mean it needs a buff.

7 RepliesIf anything needs a buff from ANY of the raids, it should be the pulse rifles. Both have been arc, and both aren't the best. I love pulse rifles, but the Timepiece (still don't own it) and the Oversoul Edict leave a lot to be desired with that low impact.

2 Repliesno firefly. it'd be the same thing as fate bringer then, just weaker. headshots with it should make the poison clouds the wizards create. so you could use it as powerful crowd control and DOT in a limited area. then while we're at it, give the oversoul edict phantom gift. "three rapid criticals give you one round back, you know what we should put that on?" "the three round burst rifle?" "no stupid, the low damage hand cannon. duh"
