I know a lot of you dearly love your new Word of Crota hand cannon you rightfully earned by killing Crota on Hard, but hear me out. THIS WEAPON IS BROKEN. The Word's unique perk, Phantom Gift (3 rapid head shots return 1 round to mag), is not only a mediocre perk at best but it is also broken by both Hive Disruptor (Increased damage to Majors) and the Explosive a Rounds perk. This a bug that Bungie saw coming due to the White Nail bug and made no effort to fix it preemptively. I think the best solution would be to scrap the Phantom gift perk completely rather than rework the other 2 perks that break it. Bump, like, or reply this post if you want your hard-earned handcannon to be the monster it should be. TL;DR Word of Crota is broken, let's make Bungie get rid of the broken perk on it that is bad even when it does work. [b]Replacement perk idea[/b] [b]Shrieker Blast[/b] -[b]precision kills with this weapon activate a mini shrieker death blast that tracks nearby enemies. [/b] it would function similar to firefly, but would do less damage and have increased range in addition to a brief stagger animation when it connects on nearby enemies.
