House of Wolves will increase the damage to 362, you will have to reset all your exotics, again.
How would you feel about that?
Personally I think that might be the final nail in Destiny's coffin, for me at least. Extending playtime be resetting progress isn't a good mechanic at all in my opinion.

Bungie came out and said that they are not going to repeat the same mistakes they made with TDB. Hopefully that holds true.

I dont mind leveling them up again. It is easy as hell. Do ten bounties, use a telemetry before turning them in. If u have 3 characters.. thats 30 bounties.

Legendaries will stay the same. Raid weapons from previous raids will stay the same. Maybe they'll make future changes in new raids. Its all super easy though. Just create a new vendor. Blacksmith. Reforge all weapons and gear to new levels for [i]enter specific denomination here[/i]... Done. People still have to grind. PS. However... This is why I'm sitting on the last few steps of the Thorn bounty...

Didn't read, not too long, just too dumb. It's going 1 of 2 ways. 1. Reset exotics through xur again. 2. Have to find/buy new exotics. Which would you prefer?

In regards to the HYPOTHETICAL nature of the post =) Honestly, people will keep playing or stop. I do think that if people have to re-level their exotics again, there is going to be A LOT more backlash from the community. I only have two, and neither is a weapon. So getting new legendary weapons and gear isn't a huge deal to someone like me. For folks who have collected ALL the exotics...man, I hope they don't do that again. The suggestion of Xur's upgrade resetting the final 3 upgrades, or even adding three more bubbles would be a much better solution.

Ghjallerhorn/hopf will get upgraded, other exotics will stay as is. Damage doesn't matter in crucible...maybe I'll upgrade suros for IB...

1 ReplySee this kind of kills it for me. Knowing everything I have will be outdated in 2 months kind of makes me wonder if I should bother grinding the raid each week. Especially if they are going to sell gear better than raid gear the first day the next DLC drops.

There was a post on neo that they are at least trying to figure out a way that when you upgrade exotics you will not have to level them again. So that we dont have to re-level each xpac or comet.

1 ReplyI wish the light level was 39, that two level increase was pretty lame, so much so that I cant be arsed to chase it, no real incentive. Hopefully they dont do the exotic reset again after the uproar from last time I had a good idea I posted a while back that the xur upgrade should just reset the xp on the last 3 nodes, leaving you at the current max (if you maxed it) and then the 3 nodes can be levelled again for the new max. Get to keep the perks and it's not a hard kick in the balls like last time.

Not too concerned. Bungie admitted making mistakes with CE. I'm confident these issues will be resolved and as such, I'm leveling all my Exotics with no fear of them becoming obsolete without a reset. A new dawn, Guardians.

You realize the reset increases the damage to more than the last version of the weapon and only really requires the grind to obtain the higher damage and regain the perks. It's not that bad really. It's not like it starts you at damage lvl 200 or something. It's part of the game and not a horrible part either

4 RepliesI think it's fun it's not reseting its upgrading what are they supposed to do just give your weapons more power because you said so? Or here is another option keep them how they are and come out with new ones that you have to get making old ones that you played to get useless for later on in the game. Hmmmmm let me think. I think I will take upgrading because it gives me the flexibility to keep the exotics I use up to date in a pretty easy way just have to level it up again witch I can do in a day. Not even difficult.

2 RepliesIf they didn't you'd have absolutely no reason to play the game. You are upgrading, not resetting. Resetting is going back to zero, period! It's a simple concept most here don't seem to understand. The problem is this wouldn't be an issue if there was more content and it wasn't such a mind numbing process to do.

armor light will actually go to 42 light and vender gear will be 39
