Another simple trick....have 2 friends. That's all. Just 2. All you need for striking. 2 God Damn Friends. Benefits of having just 2 friends for strikes: You can exit the strike if Bungie's "playlist" gives you Phogoth 10 times in a row. You can go AFK because the real world is more important without some little cocksucker bitching about it. You can kill all the enemies, drive through the skip-parts or anything you damn well wish. You can go into your inventory to use an ammo-pack without having previously mentioned cocksucker killing you in some fashion for "Not helping". All of this can be yours....if you have just 2 friends.
