Someone told me this a long time ago, and I'm too scared to test it. I almost always end up doing full runs, so I don't even use checkpoints much, but it'd be nice to know.

My personal understanding of raid checkpoints: If you pass the previous checkpoint you do not need to wipe to save the new one you are at. If you are stealing a checkpoint I believe you must wipe. I never really do this so I'm not 100% sure You can't steal or revert back to an earlier checkpoint (except by restarting the mission which glitches a lot) So if you fight your way up to Crota you can help your friend beat the bridge without losing your Crota save

Not in the story missions. Let's say shrine of oryx mission. I keep that mission on the last checkpoint for the boss fight bounty. When I kill him and it says destroy the shrine I just go to orbit. When I come back in at the last checkpoint anyway

No you don't, do you need to die on story checkpoints? No, same as everything else

Better safe than sorry :)

Edited by Whoppenheimer: 1/26/2015 4:06:06 AMNo because I was two Manning crota and I told my friend to kill himself to show him a cheese. I crossed the bridge finished the mission and he got the check point
