So, just watching a stream of Hard mode. In which, the caster says that the middle platform strategy is 'cheese' and should be patched.
I wholeheartedly disagree as the middle platform still requires teamwork and coordination. So my question to you, is the middle platform tactic a 'cheese'?
Leave a comment below, with your opinion, and vote! Thanks! :)
EDIT: Thanks for all the votes and comments thus far! Let's try and keep this going. Looks a pretty one sided battle so far!
EDIT 2: Blown away by all the votes and comments. Nearly 3000 have voted 'No' and about 140 have voted 'Yes'.
Think we can safely say the answer to the question is a resounding 'No'
Thanks to everyone that's voted so far! Let's keep it going. :)

When Crota moves left or right, you can't stay there. I vote no.
-
They should make it where only 2 boomers come out but can hit you from anywhere on the map.
-
5 RepliesNot really a cheese, but I can see Bungie extending the range of the Boomers and Crota so it hits you there. :-/
-
It's not really a platform. It's a ledge. A windowsill. That's like calling a bike a tank.
-
1 ReplyIts strategy. I was running the sword today and someguy asked me "are you gunna do the inviz exploit?" How the hell would that be considered an exploit. Its pure strategy
-
1 ReplyAlso beat crota from center, with two swords. Got to avoid dealing with ogres.
-
1 ReplyYou don't get hit but you also have a much weaker vantage point over sword. Not a cheese.
-
1 ReplyCannot be classified as a cheese. You aren't glitching anything or taking advantage of any present bugs. If your team doesn't work together, the middle strat isn't any easier. I call no gouda.
-
1 ReplyIt pisses me off that no matter what people do, there's someone out there who claims a certain strategy is cheesing. Just because enemies can't hit you doesn't mean jack. The whole point is to not get hit. Besides you still have to keep the boomers from hitting the sword bearer either with a bubble or by staggering with a sniper. Sorry we're not all Rambo running around on the bottom floor.
-
1 ReplyIt took me 5 hours with the tactic..its no cheese
-
1 ReplyConsidering that you still have to do everything you would normally besides kill boomers, it's not a cheese. There is no network exploit or anything.
-
1 ReplyThe middle is a strategy, not a cheese. Every encounter in this game has multiple ways to attack it.
-
3 RepliesYou know what cheese is!? Cheese is when the thralls come up into the crystal room behind you and start meleeing you through the glass. Now That's cheese!
-
With a good group, it can seem like cheese, but with you average group, it's just as hard as the left strat. That's what I've learned from my experience.
-
1 ReplyOh hell no. People are finding more and more things to make themselves feel elite. Damn.
-
1 ReplyI don't really consider it a cheese as you still have to go through multiple Swordbearers, and kill Ogres to get Crota.
-
2 RepliesEdited by TuTToSHooTs : 1/25/2015 3:12:28 PMStrategy: After the second sword against Crota is complete, the entire team goes down into the basement of one of the Boomer towers--we like to go right (facing Crota). Make sure to not take the bridge because the boomers will shoot you. Take the ground route. Once the team is in, everyone get to higher ground. The first Ogre will pop in the room. Spam him/her with heavy ammo and grenades. Once that Ogre is down, go to the front door of the room and you'll see the other Ogre making his/her way to the middle area. Spam that Ogre with heavy and grenades. It should take roughly one minute to execute this. Exit the room once Crota moves back to the center, and viola, you're on your last sword to beating Crota.

2 RepliesEdited by OneSadPandaa: 1/25/2015 3:03:23 PMA cheese is exploiting a glitch of some sort that guarantees victory. The middle strategy does not fit that description.
-
1 ReplyIt's not a chesse
-
1 ReplyBeat crota hm from middle. Got ghorn suck it bitch. It's not a cheese.
-
5 RepliesCheese is such an overused term now.
-
3 RepliesIts a damn good strategy. Though that being said, I wouldn't be suprised if Bungie changed it so players wouldn't stand there. I say this after what they did with the Atheon teleporting guardians furthest back from him and putting barriers on players on that part of the raid.
-
3 RepliesThey designed for the Boomers' range to stop just before it, so no. But watch when they "fix" this just like they did the Templar platforms.
-
2 RepliesNot a cheese, however it may not be the way bungie "intended" players to use to beat Crota. Remember the Atheon strategy?
-
2 RepliesNo way and ill honestly give bungie credit here. The enemy patterns they coded in to prevent cheesing here are great. The wizard bodyguarding crota is great and so is the swordbearer running for cover when being sniped. Dont get me wrong. I HATE those f/ckers but it sure beats a cop out invisible wall or invincibility frames to make the fight harder.

You still have to worry about boomers
