I expect this theory to become irrelevant after the weekly refresh starting on 1/27/15, when the Crux should begin to drop.[/i][/b] The Crux can only be dropped [b][u]AFTER[/u][/b] your character's first time beating Crota in the hard raid. Your character has a 0% chance of getting it as a drop. After your first time, the drop chance increases from then, slowly rising each and every time your character is [b][u]rewarded[/u][/b]. Just like Glowhoo has a 100% chance of dropping the first time you beat Crota on each character and after that, you will not be able to get it again on that character. The chance is dropped to 0% for Glowhoo leaving the Crux as an available component of the drop table with say... A 5% drop chance. It is character specific. You may have beaten Crota 3 times this week throughout all your characters, but it won't drop because your character each has a specific drop percentage for the Crux of Crota. Starting soon after the weekly refresh, we should see Crux of Crota drops and Nechrochasms in the Tower! Although, in very small amounts. Don't worry my fellow guardians, we will be able to achieve this monster of a gun. Until Tuesday my friends! [b]Edit[/b]: People are saying that if you are wearing the Glowhoo you received from a different character, you [b][u]will not[/u][/b] receive a second one if it is that characters first time beating Crota. Did nothing special.... if anything it was my second time beating crota hm on my characters and had glowhoo on.... in the end nechrochasm is garbage in crotas end hm and in general... bungie u need to buff it... give it more impact as say the suros and a larger magazine size.... for an exotic that u had to evolve in order to get its pretty sad how bad it is... all the exotic weapons in the new dlc is bad in general

You don't have to be wearing it...or anything it's RNG. Also if you wanna check it out it's on my warlock.

Garbage gun. There's a video out there of some German group that got one legit and its crap. It's impossible to land every shot and only does around 69 damage per headshot. The explosive effect doesn't do much especially because you do barely any damage do an enemy which means you'll most likely not get the killing blow. I can't believe bungie mad this their raid exotic. It's literally worse than most legendary auto rifles and as an added plus you aren't able to use your ghorn or ice breaker. What a piece of shit.

Proven false. Done by myself twice and many of my personal friends. The crux is not in the loot pool yet. If you know bungie you would know it's not in there yet. Normal crotas end comes out, a month later hard comes out, we still have several months until a new raid. In a couple of weeks they will throw the crux in to keep people playing.

I beat him a second time while wearing Sunsetting Shader, and didn't get a second Glohoo. Is it because I had it with me you think?

I was thinking the same, the shader always drops on your first run, unless your full. and that on your second run that loot spot could be replaced with a chance of getting the crux. Who knows
