Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

All you have to do is get a titan to put down a bubble on the left or right (which ever way person with sword goes) down on the side where crota would be if he wasnr in middle and boomers will shoot a bubble and not sword. Then titan just jumps up to shoot rockets

You might as well tell them to make the sword disappear sooner because it lasts too long. Then on top of that make it so the timer starts as soon as the enemies are cleared because stacking at the door is cheesing. After that make more thralls appear by the sword bearer because picking up the sword is too easy. Lastly give the sword bearer more life because he is too easy.

Its more of a "safespot" than a cheese. Also you're just scooting out of their range. 50% of the time it seems like the boomers are asleep anyway. If you pester them with VoC they'll eventually move out of the way and leave the SB alone. If your group blames the SB for boomer death then they're a little bit touched. If you break ot down the roles go a little like this. Sword weilder: -Dps sword bearer -Run sword -Crota health damage -Dps Ogres Fireteam members: -Dps swordbearer -Dps Crota shields -Boomer duty -Dps Ogres -Dps sword knight/wizard if spawned -Cursed thrall crowd control -Knowing wtf an ammo synth is and how to use them -Cover sword wielder I've never ran the sword but I know if the SB dies from boomers its MY fault for not watching their positioning. On the opposite side though I like the middle strategy A LOT. It keeps the herp derps from wandering into mortar land and getting rekt.

In regards to #1, my group has a Titan pop a bubble on the right platform where eventually crota moves (while he is in the middle). This distracts the boomers and sword carrier doesn't get hit by them as long as he uses right side rocks. Moving out of enemies effective range is not cheesing.

Actually if you don't have someone from mid sniping boomers on whichever side the swordbearer is going to then you're doing it wrong.

You can have someone under a boomer tower shooting and jumping atop one of the big door frames and they'll look right at him instead. Then just make sure sword bearer stays more to that side and bam no deaths by the boomers.

I don't know how other people are doing the mid stratagy, but my team had one of our players in the back area, shooting at the boomers to keep them at bay. Didn't kill to many of them, but we still had to have someone shooting them so the swordbearer wouldn't get killed.

Stationing your army out of the range of your enemy's artillery is necessary if you want to survive longer than 10 seconds on the battlefield. That isn't cheese. It's called strategy.

"Boomers kill you and everyone blames the SB" sounds like someone kept dying in that strat..:) had you not been so narrow minded and had a a good team one guy staggers boomers while the SB is making his way to Crota..

Not a cheese at all. It's a very fundamental strategy dating back thousands of years. Moving out of an enemy fields of fire is warfighting 101. If you run or stand on the catwalks, you're in the Boomer fatal funnel. No point in dying.
