Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

I like the downing crota on left and right strat too cause you dont have to worry about boomers.

The game works properly (mostly) and it still requires a degree of teamwork. It's absolutely possible to fail. However I agree with most of your points as people do act that way lol

Number 1 pisses me off so -blam!-ing much!!! I was doing the raid with this one group as the swordbearer, and if I get killed by boomers I'll get bitched at like it was my fought. And yes I was invisible but sometimes they still shoot. Also, I'll get 4 hits sometimes and this guy was like " oh you're not a confident swordbearer, you could of got 5" for what?? Whoever is sitting back with their rockets needs to stfu and do their damn job instead of worrying about the swordbearer when he already knows what to do. This pisses me off.

You need a guy, who will be headshoting boomers, while you run towards crota and after you run to the crystal room. Just assign one of your team with a weakest rocket luncher to cover SB ass and it'll work like a charm ;)

If crota couldn't shoot you either and thralls didn't come through the glass I'd agree but there are a lot of ways to get killed if you aren't playing it safe.

Sounds more like you're raiding with a bad team... the Mid strategy does require boomer duty. One titan in a bubble to distract them. Death is still very real that way

So they put that ledge there, put a way to get to it easily, and made it so even hardmode boomers and crota can't hit you there. Obviously it was designed to be used that way just like middle Atheon. Not a cheese. Probably from playtesters saying the raid is too hard, so they added it a designated bungie safe zone. Now I agree that people need distract boomers otherwise that method is useless because like you said, swoardbearer gets rocked.

Anyone who thinks that the middle window is considered a cheese is a complete moron. Like seriously, that's like saying going to the middle during the Atheon fight to get away from the supplicants is a cheese. It's essentially the same exact thing. Some people just love to cry about things for no reason. It's just plain dumb. Get a life, and stop complaining about how people play.

Lol cry more More like a thousand tears from a lousy guardian (that would be you if you didn't understand my trash talk) Btw, it still takes skill to use the mid STRATEGY. Nubs can't pull it off... Lastly, you are correct about one thing, people don't worry about the boomers anymore... But you still need to in order to successfully run this strategy. Mainly you need a defender Titan to go put a bubble up in the way so they can't shoot the SB.

When i join the team its either my way or I just go onto the next team needing my services. I go inviz so the boomers are not an issue for me. Mid strategy is best for my setup. The only times (rarely) that boomers get me is on the second kneeldown as I am striking crota. To avoid this I instruct the other 5 shooting crota to immediately break off into two groups running left and right back into the room as soon as they shoot their second volley of rockets (don't stand there and watch as I bash him a 2nd time). This distracts the boomers and causes them to focus fire away from me and onto the fellas running back into the room....works every time....not one shot is ever fired at boomers the way I play.

3 RepliesI don't like middle because it's extremely boring (for a non SB). Go out, snipe, shot a rocket and repeat. No running and dodging enemies, no killing thrall, no anything. BORING double bubble is just as safe and way more fun. Not to mention being able to kill all the extra thrall gives you way more chances at heavy ammo drops.

4 RepliesI hate how the word cheese meant glitches at first but now it means anything that makes the game easier. Why would they make a game where you have to do things very strictly according to how they designed it? Its a strategy not a glitch or "cheese." Pushing off the boss, yes, that's a glitch. Keeping Crota on his knee, yes, that's a glitch. Using a particular place within the map to avoid taking damage, not so much.

Lol funny thing is that you literally have to be stupid to think thats a cheese. Im not saying u might be dum, im saying that for a fact if u think that strategy is a cheese, no ifs ands or buts about it, you're stupid. I would say get good at holdin the sword or pass the blade off to someone who isnt absolute trash with it. Hope this helps.

Yes, the only legit way to beat crota is for the entire f*cking team to stand right next to crota and dodge both him and boomer rockets the entire time! Scrub.
