Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

No. People coming up with ideas like that are the reason for bungie "fixing" legit or needless things. Would you really rather have bungie working on increasing the range of boomers compared to say a new pve event? Btw if standing out of range is "cheesing" then I say that so is using a titan shield through the whole map and going invisible. It's too easy to do and doesn't require skill. I doubt they really intended to have the same answer for Atheon and crota. So no they shouldn't patch this its a technique. It can go wrong, the boomers, crota, wizards,etc can all still kill the team. Eg they make the mistake of killing the boomers and the wizards come out then they would all die.

But that middle ledge is a strategy. Also you can still easily mess up using the middle ledge strategy still. Either the player with the sword dies [b]or[/b] you guys accidently shoot each other in the back with rockets and kill yourself [b]or[/b] you mess up the ogre part when that part comes [b]or[/b] you might not kill Crota fast enough because your teamwork sucks [b]or[/b] any other way you can think of.

1) The strat is to stagger them while the swordbearer is whacking away. 2) They still hit you when you have to move from the center. 3) Of course it still takes skill 4) It is a legit strat (until Bungie decides it's not) 5) See 1-4, your comment makes little sense. People still take damage and want the best chance, so they'll do whatever it takes. I really don't care if Bungie changes this. While the middle ledge strat does offer a way to avoid certain aspects, it's not glitching or cheesing like disconnecting while Crota is kneeling or resurrecting at 1 second at the bridge.

It's still a good tactic and you need one person to watch or distract the boomers. A hunter can pick up the sword with ease. It is no cheese and you still need sniperskills to kill the swordbearer fast enough.

2 RepliesI agree. I hope they patch it as well. It gets very frustrating that the enemies bomb the shit out of you while your teammates are in candy land. Doing it with a legit strategy is much more gratifying in my opinion and I like knowing that my teammates actually deserve the rewards.

It's not cheesing. No one is exploiting anything, the ledge is there for a reason. If you don't like it, then simply find another strategy that works for you.

Titan bubble on the ledge of crota whete the sword bearer jumps up. Boomers can't hit you in the bubble and normally don't shoot over it

Struggled with mid strat change to left side 2 bubbles on boomers was done in 45 min more consistent but you obviously beef 2 titans hunter on sword blinking works brill especially when he goes enraged

4 RepliesMid strategy works and it's NOT a cheese.. It's taking advantage of the boomers' terrible range! This is our strategy which we killed Crota with last night. (check my titan for glowhoo if you don't believe me).

2 RepliesI snipe the boomers with icebreaker to stun them when Swordbearers goes up and he has yet to get hit. Beat it with all 3 characters with this strategy. This is not a cheese its a dead zone in the map that bungie didn't think about. Its a legitimate strategy and you can still die when crota goes left or right or ogres spawn. Don't get pissed because you have a bad group. Boomers can still kill you on ogre round unless you stun them as you run.

7 RepliesIt's not a cheese. It's strat. And the boomers would ignore the sword user if you had someone shooting the boomers to pull aggro. (Which is the correct way to do mid btw) The rest sounds like its your fault for picking shitty mates to run with.

1 ReplyIt's not a cheese and you should assign a sniper to stagger not kill the boomers. Keeps the sword bearer safe and everyone else can concentrate on Ghorning Crota, still takes a lot of cohesion and skill.

7 RepliesI staggered the boomers for the whole fight not 1 wizard spawned, while I dealt with the boomers everyone else could concentrate on Crota. Its a sound legit strategy and all of it was done from the Middle ledge. I jumped into to game with a bunch of randoms lastnight we beat him under 30 mins using this strategy, why intentionally put yourself in harms way it's hard enough as it is.

1 ReplySimple fix for this situation is stop running HM Crota with group that only want to do mid strat. IMO its a glitch and mid strat doesnt work for everyone. I personally dont have any issue with group that run it this way, as long as they get it done more power to them.
