Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

Also, though we cant confirm, the Boomers generally tend to ignore the SB if he doesn't draw any Agro. So the SB doesn't need to shoot the SB knight unless absolutely necessary. While this has worked most of the time, it sometimes doesn't so we're a little unsure about it.

3 RepliesI don't think I would go so far as to caLloyd it cheese, but I personally don't find it to be a good strategy at all, for the same reasons you don't like it. I have never seen it work, but then again I have never tried it for very long. I guess if you stun lock the boomers it could work, but ultimately they would die and you would be in the same boat having to kill the wizard. I just don't like it personally. I think it is much better to just get the timing of the mechanics down normally.

Know why I hate it? Cuz it's too dependent on the swordbearer (the enemy) staying middle. If he goes to left or right stairs and nobody has eyes on him it can wipe the whole raid.

not a cheese and not any harder on sb if you use a titan to soak boomer dmg. depending on your grp you might even have to deal with orges still. you can infact still be killed when in the so called cheese spot. it happened to me today. thralls will go right through the wall.

This is not a cheese.. we have SB go up left side.. and have one person with Ice breaker shoot at boomers.. but only stager them... if if a must kill one thats cloest to crota so to make sure wizard never spawns... can see how this is a cheese.. maybe u suck balls and cant finish the raid and are one of those people who blame everyone eles for your problems... Maybe just maybe try to get good... and wipe them tears scrub

Okay so your saying 1. you want the boomers to shoot and kill you with 2 hits plus the splash damage 2. boomers have no fear they shoot to kill 3. it does take skills, its call coordination between killing the swordbearer in time fast and making sure we get crota down asap 4. what team mates were you in, everyone i been in we all listen to one another and did the middle cause it was perfect, plus its all about communication when i played and crota moved the titan went first inside and threw a bubble so we can get inside safely! 5. i never change class i always stick to the stuff im with and i be good, why change armor and weapons in the middle of the crota battle wasting time, all that time changing stuff around you could of gotten him down twice already and probably a third

Still have to have one person distracting the boomers so they don't kill the sword runner. Also there is still a big risk when running back inside, the boomers and pelting that door usually from the first person through it. It's far from risk free.
