Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

If you down Crota, then shoot the boomers to distract them they won't shoot SB. As soon as you can you start shooting Crota again and it all works out.

We beat Crota just staying on left side like you do on normal, tried to mid way once or twice and hated it. I always run the sword for us & left is just so much easier. Shoot stuff you see, shoot Crota when it's called. Get loot, repeat.

3 RepliesYou're crazy if you think middle stat is guaranteed success. Cheese is when unskilled and uncoordinated teams can use a strat to complete 100% of the time. Mid strat is not a cheese sir

I've done it both ways and both work fine. The boomer bubble is a great tactic.

How is this a cheese? If this was a real cheese than a LOT more people would have beaten it. Just find a better group that works together. We did one on boomers. Three Gjallarhorn duty, Titan bubble and sword bearer. Was not "easy" until we worked on timing and coordination.

Ive done it five times 3 times on the left (got rewards) 2 times using mid strategy (helping friends out) Both still require a lot of team work and communication you can't deny that. I run the sword and use invisibility when i jump up from the bottom right rock and then knifing crota after i hit him i go invisible again so the boomers never have a chance of hitting me This only works if you stand in the very middle of the platform if you hit crota from the sides there is a chance boomers can still hit you. Hope this helps any inexperienced sword bearers! Good luck out there guardians

I think this is a legit strategy. Staying out of enemy fire is not a cheese. You're not dancing in front of supplicants in the VoG right? In a nightfall you run out in the open? It's up to bungie to decide whether this is legit enough.

1 Replywork the strategy out...have one guy always shoot boomers, in other words stagger them so they wont shoot swordguy and most of all they wont even look at him, worked everytime for me...plus i was swordguy so i know what im talking about. ps: if u dont like it, fine, do it your way. same goes for others, DO WHATEVER SUITS YOU. im sick of everyone complaining about everything and everyone...
