Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

Destiny used to be a fun game that allowed players to come up with, for the most part, a winning strategy for strikes and raids. Now, after all the anti "cheese" updates, it's just another FPS with specific methods of completion. That's what makes the raids and strikes boring now.

Me and my team love this strategy to death. If you've got a reliable sword carrier, you can keep absolutely everything off them easily.

Don't be mad because you had a bad team, that doesn't make this a cheese, it just makes it much much easier to pull off all you have to do is occasionally snipe the boomers without killing both, one shot can pull agro from the SB

Actually it does take skill. And actually if you keep stunning the boomers when the sword guy is out they won't worry about him. It takes more skill than you think. Crota shield was a couple shots away and thralls killed us all on the platform and we missed it. One hit away. Luckily we beat it before I got the acout. Want the hc

ok....so people were cheesing crota by disconnecting...took maybe 1 or 2 tries if someone wasn't host or some idiot went and died, but basically Crota downed in 3-4 mins. Now on hard mode, your calling the middle strategy a cheese....its taking groups 1-3 hours of effort to get the timing and coordination down perfectly to kill him. If that's a cheese, its the worst -blam ing-! cheese they ever found. Oh, and to protect the SB from the boomers just have a titan drop a shield on the platform that blocks the boomers shots from hitting you. Or is that a cheese too, because we are using our abilities to prevent damage to a teammate?

If a hunter is invis when he jumps on the center platform boomers will ignore him completely. And then after he first hits drop the sword and blink strike and go invis. It's such a beautiful strategy and it's not a cheese. But they will fix it. Bloody bastards

Lol it would be a cheese if it altered the game state some how, like despawning enemies or forcing scrota to stay down. There is a way to take away the threat of the boomers if you are standing on the ledge or not, so using the ledge is just smart.

I ignore the boomers all together. We send a defender titam behind our sword bearer and he pops a bubble behind him so it protects the sword bearer.... why worry about something if you have the brains to make them not matter?

Pretty easy solution to the boomers. Whichever side the SB runs on kill on boomer then send a Titan over to pop a bubble inside the boomer tower right in front of the boomer while the SB is grabbing sword. Then you protect the SB by using the environment and the Titan has job besides just dps Crota and help with ogres.

Middle is completely relevant and not all players are selfish as your saying. In fact, that entire statement is incorrect. How can you be selfish in a hard raid? My team took boomers of him and it worked and please explain what exactly we are exploiting to gain an advantage?

2 RepliesI've done both ways... left side on one character and middle on the other two... I seriously can't imagine the plan was for the left side to be the "best" strategy, cause that run was insane. Felt like WW3 with all the firepower it takes to do it like that
