Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

1 ReplyMy team used this strategy with out fail and boomers never touched our sword bearer either had a Titans bubble ready for our sword runner, or had some one flinch lock the boomers while we took down Crota, given we had 3 g-horns it all worked well, we took out both ogres from left side stairs had a bubble there as well while we did that and some one focusing boomers.

We're given a framework from bungie, how we choose to work within this framework is on us, if we find special spots or vantage points to help survive and defeat the boss then that's people being smart. If bungie wanted after its on them to add something or delete something. But you can't get mad at people for being smarter then the game. Given a problem we will solve it, that's not a cheese lol. Bridge lock Rez is a cheese again though, it's on bungie to patch that or do something else about going over

this to me is the equivalent of using the left platform on templar in vog. Its clever use of the map, no mechanics are broken. Its not like dashboarding to freeze crota, an actual cheese. Inevitably bungie will patch it under the pretense of "this is not our intention of how it should be played", the same reason for templar....its a lame reason because its a use of the map bungie built so if it exists, we will use it. They should hire more testers as this isnt a cheese its effective use of the map, bungies fault if boomers cant reach it.

If sword bearer is up against the black wall on rocks then boomers won't hit sword. Trust me I run sword everytime and have never had problem with boomers

I don't hate it, but as a Titan it gets damn boring, if your bladedancer has his special the boomers are a non issue.. You just kill the orges , run back to the middle kill sword bearer and DPS crota. I much prefer another way.. But until folks get all their gear and more acclimated to HM.. Middle is all I can find people wanting to do.

4 RepliesIt is a bit cheesy. There's a barrier surrounding mid platform. If a boomer ends up aiming at a player the boomer shot hits an invisible barrier before it hits your team

1 ReplyAre you out of your mind?? Let's make the Hard mode harder? Raiding is about strategy and teamwork. If your teammates are not staggering the boomers, make them take the sword. Have a Titan place his bubble on the walkway. Increasing the range is stupid. That would mean both groups of boomers would be able to fire on the swordwielder.

People just have to distract the boomers, my group staggered them or sat inside a Titan bubble and I was fine as a warlock sword bearer

9 RepliesI think it's at the borderline of cheese. I understand it's just using the map but I have a very hard time believing that Bungie intended us to use that area. It really just depends on what your definition of "cheese" is. Personally I think they will patch it...eventually.

im a 31 hunter Would want to beat crota, i know how to do middle strategy nd i dont die like many 32s, got Gally too id prefer a team of 32 nd mybe just a 31 to cause more damage

A cheese means a glitch to personal benefit. This my friend is not a cheese. It's an easier strat that benefits everyone. If you do it right, the sword holder is out of danger just as much as everyone else. Sounds like you have a personal problem that you need to get over
