Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

So you would rather deal with hallowed wizards all the time? The middle strategy isn't a cheese and thrall can glitch through the window and hit you in the back.

i bet something will happen to mid strat just because 90% of the time the team does nothing other then shoot crota or down the sword. I highly doubt bungie intended to have it so simple. I personally like left i beat him twice from that side it takes a little more teamwork i feel. And both of my teams were amazing at taking care of all enemies.

Middle/under boomer tower Strategy: After the second sword against Crota is complete, the entire team goes down into the basement of one of the Boomer towers--we like to go right (facing Crota). Make sure to not take the bridge because the boomers will shoot you. Take the ground route. Once the team is in, everyone get to higher ground. The first Ogre will pop in the room. Spam him/her with heavy ammo and grenades. Once that Ogre is down, go to the front door of the room and you'll see the other Ogre making his/her way to the middle area. Spam that Ogre with heavy and grenades. It should take roughly one minute to execute this. Exit the room once Crota moves back to the center, and viola, you're on your last sword to beating Crota.

But I tend to think your reasoning against the mid strategy actually has nothing to do with the strategy. None of your arguments actually address any tactical flaw. The reasoning just seems to a subjective view of your teammates. Lets address each point that you made: 1. [b] Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them. [/b]. This seems to be your team not doing their job. Having assigned roles and responsibilities is a must, if the boomers are killing you, then the primary assigned to this is at fault. This is not a strategic failing, but the failing of the primary. 2. [b]Takes away the fear from the boomers.[/b]. This is seems to be an inference on your part, not a strategic failing. 3. [b]Takes no skill.[/b] This is your opinion, but if so, wouldn't this be a positive. If its easier for everyone to survive in the mid than the left, I would think that is what you are aiming for. 4.[b]Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy[/b] Again, this has nothing to do with the strategy. It is the sword guys fault. He is not standing in the right places or attacking crota from the right spot. Beat it 4 times and probably two more tonight.

We use Titan ward to save sword bearer and one guy actually shoots those that can hit him. Because like with normal I make that shield drop all by myself.

1 ReplyNot really true with the 'boomers shoot sword guy'. I usually shoot a gally at Crota then start using black hammer to stagger the boomers rather then kill them, I do it when running back inside also.

It's a strategy not a cheese and you should have someone staggering boomers for the sworbearer and your team as they run inside to the middle room

Middle strat is so easy. U need to tell your fireteam to draw Agro and snipe them when the sword runner starts going for the sword and moving right
