Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

Lol you can ignore boomers even if you're not running middle meathod. You can just stay far back at doorway and wait for sword bearer. And only step out to shoot a rocket at crota. Or you can camp in ogre spawn and kill sword bearer there. And just wait for crota to move to right or left side and sit in bubble. Or you can just place titan bubbles in front of boomers. This post proves how little people know about the crota fight. Almost laughable.

You're a dumbass for not using the mid strategy. A good player and a smart player uses the mid strategy. Why the -blam!- would you keep going to a spot that's constantly under fire versus a spot where this is no fire you -blam!-ing dumbass.

8 RepliesOP, your strategy is a cheese for the following reasons. 1. Right side boomers can't hit you. Removes fear of right side boomers. 2. Right side wizard doesn't spawn, removes fear of right side wizard. 3. Ogre phase. You hide in the spawn room, coming out only to shoot the ogres, which is cheesing the encounter cause both ogres can't hit you simultaneously. And also, the thrall can't attack all of you. 4. Using orbs to regenerate health. The encounter was designed to be hard by not regenerating health. By using the tools available to you, you are defying the intended way of playing the encounter. If you really want to do the raid cheese free your whole team needs to stand on the centre platform on the ground so that all enemies are able to shoot at you. Because if you are out of an enemy's range, you are cheesing! Actually, the thrall can't hit you on that platform, you need to stand on the ground where the thrall, gatekeeper, boomers and wizards and Crota can shoot you. Then you're doing it legit. Also, bubble shield is cheese because enemies can't hit you through it. Enjoy your cheesy loot you cheesy cheeser.

Your title says it all, "middle strategy". Pushing off a boss or creating network issues to keep crota on a knee, those are cheeses. What your talking about is a strategy

if the sword bearer doesn't shoot the boomers will not target him/her. Why get it patched? This is a strategy that me and my raid group found for ourselves the day the hard mode came out. People like you seem to forget that this game isn't about 1uping your team, but working together to find the most efficient method for beating the enemy. Do as will, you can use your strat, others will use their own preferred method.

Mid strategy, with one difference. . Don't hit crota while he's in the middle, wait untill he's left or right. 2 titan bubbles protecting everyone. Take him down. Let sword carrier do his job. It seems the best way. Not many things go wrong with this method. No need to worry about boomers at all, and easier to coordinate taking crota down for the sword carrier.

Or you can just sit on the right with a bubble and sit inside it and the boomers will focus fire on him the whole time. Just another strat

Why not use the easiest strategy in the game. No one wants to be playing for 5 hours now, at least I don't.

technically the easiest strategy is what benefits everybody. if people dont shoot the boomers then they arnt doing it right
