Fight of the Raid Weapons: Vision of Confluence and Fatebringer Vs Fang of Ir Yut and Word of Crota
Compare and contrast the two primary raid weapons from the VoC and Crota.
Which wins overall and why.
Things to take into consideration:
1. Perks
2. Stats
3. Damage Type
4. Do they apply to all situations
5. Which are better for PvE and PvP
I will add my own review after I leveled them both up.

Light levels aside, I think the VoG weapons top all the other raid weapons. Minus the Black Hammer for pve. They just had everything going for them, good stats, good perks, good in both pve and pvp. On a side note, is it just me or are TTK raid weapons kinda... Crap?

The fact that Fang of Ir-Yut is not full auto is a total deal breaker for me right now. Fatebringer is just so......good. The Word of Crota appeals to me because it seems to be a REAL primary void damage weapon. EDIT: I now have Fang of Ir Yut. It was kind of anticlimactic. I can't doubt that it's good, however without the full auto perk it's still second best to VoC. The Turd of Crota hand cannon still eludes me. EDIT 2.0: Been using Fang a lot more now. It's maxed out and it's doing very well. I needed trigger finger practice I guess. I like WoC too. It's an excellent weapon but still not quite Fatebringer.

Fatebringer vs word. Fatebringer all day. Havent leveled fang yet. If they changed oracle disrupter to vex disrupter the VoG weapons would be even more useful.

Fang and fatebringer voc is still good situationally and word just sucks.

While word and fb may be a debate their is no debate the dang is so much better than the voc it isn't funny. It's a headshot machine and destroys people in crucible

voc is outclassed in the hard raid. fate bringer is #1 still. woc is weird and fang is beast. I still voted fate bringer and voc because with the exception of the hard raid, they take it away by a land slide.

Fatebringer has the best skill tree it should be an exotic its the best hand cannon in the game

Situational. Patrol I would take fate. Current nightfall fate. Level 32 nightfall, most likely fang. Void needed? Word. Solar? Vision. There is no '1 beats all' in this scenario

Eh I prefer word over fate. The only place where fate is more useful than word is in the first part of the raid, but then I just use icebreaker anyway.

Voc vs fang is close But nothing will ever beat fatebringer for pve in any aspect except overall attack(331 up)

But seriously since I got exploding rounds on my Word of Crota I haven't even looked at a different gun. I think it's broken lol. Go ahead and try using it in VOG then tell me if fatebringer is better. Fang destroys vision without debate.

1 ReplyVoC and Fang are very similar. I'd say Fang is slightly more versatile because more enemies have arc shields, and bonus damage to hive majors. Fatebringer is better than the WoC by a wide margin. Damage numbers are very close, but firefly is far better than explosive rounds.

still yet to get the scout from crota but i like the word of crota fatebringer is great all the guns (MOST of them) are great guns some are just better than others
