We did this method today. It worked perfectly except for all of the glitches we encountered. The Knights never hit me while running sword. We just never beat crota because the sword disappeared on us one run and the ogres didn't spawn after the second sword so crota went into natural enraged. If you can get a fireteam that works together and doesn't go all Rambo then ylthus method works great.

If you're doing middle platform strategy and your timing is good, you shouldn't get ogres. We had Crota to 30% after two swords, waited until he was back at middle position before using one more sword to enrage him then kill him. No ogres either time we cleared him on hard.

I though ogres come after the second sword run? And you have to kill them before the 3rd sword will spawn.

Edited by Supah Sage: 1/23/2015 1:30:00 PM[spoiler]If your timing is fast on any mode, ogres won't spawn. I define "sword" as carrying the sword before it despawns. First sword, we downed Crota 3 times, getting about 7-8 hits (3, 2, then 3). We then hide until Crota is back at middle. Second sword, we get Crota to about 25%, just before he enrages. Third sword, we down him, whack him, enrage him by default due to his health, down him kill him. No ogres the whole time./spoiler]

That's swesome. I've never tried to do 3 runs per sword. Time to start practicing

Works best with middle platform strategy. No one has to shoot boomers so everyone can aggro on Crota.
