Edited by b e a n: 1/23/2015 1:53:11 AMA "roll" in regards to an item is how the stats are generated. Think of it like a wheel of chance, you give it a roll and it stops on one of many outcomes. In Destiny, a weapon roll is basically how all the perks and elements are generated (on non-exotic/raid weapons). Re-rolling is when you talk to Lord Salad Inn and refresh the "roll" on the Iron Banner weapons to get new perks/elements/etc. It only applies to Iron Banner weapons.
