It's really no contest. I tested Fatebringer in the abyss on lv 33 thralls. Still a OHK, with massive collateral damage, effectively more than doubling or tripling it's damage output against mobs with the firefly explosion. Only use I see for WoC is void nightfalls.

Fate bringer is not that great to begin with. Only reason I'd ever main it is because arc. Word does void so I'd use it for void stuff. Fate bringer is better against mob trash and word is better for bosses. But for pve I'd main timurs lash most of the time. Once I get a good role. For now it's my devil you don't. EDIT: Making an edit because for some reason people lack reading skills. After this edit I'm done with any replies to this. I never once stated that the devil you don't is better then fatebringer. And I did mention that the one I use not the one you can by. It's got a good roll. Also if you've bothered to read any of my other replies I stated I was wrong about the firefly perk. That was something I didn't know. Once again this was just my opinion. I've used FB. And while firefly is unique on a hand cannon I feel any of the legendary guns I own can do just as good in most situations. IMO FB is only needed for arc burns. Otherwise other guns can do just fine. This wasn't a FB hate post and I don't think it's garbage or bad.

Well my test is really different : I just tested my new hand cannon from Crota not upgraded ( I'm a Titan level 32) On level 30 dude : precision shot 1345 dmg Level 30 Yellow dudes : precision shot 561 dmg Fatebringer fully upgraded On level 30 dude : precision shot 1004 dmg Level 30 Yellow dudes : precision shot 416 dmg Not upgraded at all, there is already a huge difference Edit: for gobelins on Venus during patrols so not level 30.. It's 838 precision shot with Crota and 625 precision shot with Fatebringer So... Again... Crota is really stronger..

Its funny how people dont understand how damage, fire rate, etc actually work. So lets talk dps.(damage per second) which in most games like this is how you figure out your damage. This will work for any weapon whether its an ar or hand cannon etc. Also i own fate bringer and fate bringer is an amazing weapon. Im just saying people need to learn wtf they are talking about. Lets talk base damage going from the link provided, the post creator says his maxed woc hits for 437 damage and his fate bringer hits for 427 damage. so yes thats is only 10 more damage per bullet. but woc fire rate is close to double what fate bringers is. so lets talk time frame and for the sake of argument all of the bullets land the same 437 and 427 damage shots. this is just a rough example and these times are not exact, but will suffice for this argument. fate bringer shoots 6 bullets is 4 seconds totaling 2562 damage. woc fires 12 bullets in 4 seconds dealing 5244 damage. now woc fire rate isnt exaclty double fate bringers but its close. This is how dps works and this is what people need to realize yea a certain weapon may hit harder but a weapon that fires quicker can deal as much or more damage in the same time in a skilled hand. Now fate bringer still has fire fly which makes this weapon invaluable. and even on hard mode crota fb still wrecks down in the lamp area. fate bringer is still a great if not best choice for aoe damage. but talking straight dps in a skilled accurate hand woc will beat out fb.

I did a test, and took pictures for proof. As you will see a maxed Fatebringer does more damage vs. Word of Crota, which hasn't been upgraded at all (just got it yesterday), as a lvl 32 guardian vs. lvl 30 enemies (Fallen on Venus) However I believe it would be a different matter if WoC was fully upgraded. Even though Fatebringer has a better impact stat which is how much damage is dealt per shot. WoC does have better RoF, stability and reload speed, but it looks like people prefer impact above all else. http://imgur.com/a/D1BSB
