I understand everyone is excited about the release of Hard mode, but unfortunately there are those among us who have taken it upon themselves to try to expand their ego by putting down those who haven't put in as much effort into Destiny as they have. It's a petty display, people needlessly causing a divide in a game that heavily relies on teamwork in most aspects. I am displeased. As punishment I have out together a small guide, the 'easy way' if you would, to low road, the casual path or whatever people will take to calling it. Disclaimer: I made most of this from speculation, using what we learned from the Dark Below. Let's start with the fact that the house of Wolves releases on March 9th, approximately 45 days away. What will most likely happen: Tower gear will be upgraded, again. Possibly level 33 vanguard gear. Exotics will also most likely be upgraded to 3.0 as well. What you will probably need: Commendations, Marks, Shards, Glimmer, upgrade materials. Now we get to the meat and potatoes. Marks and Commendations: The cap for marks is 200 for both Vanguard and Crucible marks, the prices for gear are as follows; chest,leg and arm armor is 75 marks a piece with chest armor requiring a commendation. Helmets are 120 marks and also require a commendation. So you can only buy 2 pieces of armor a week at most, I personally recommend having appropriate marks and commendations stocked for both Vanguard and Crucible (faction armor requires a crucible commendation), this way you can purchase a full set of level 33 armor right on release. oh, and weapons are 150 marks each, i don't recommend buying new weapons upon release of HoW. Upgrade materials: You will most likely need ascendant materials, but just in case Bungie throws a curve-ball have some radiant materials on the side. You have until March, with any excess marks you earn you can buy whatever upgrade materials you think you'll need for your new gear, 10 marks gets you 20 of whatever resource you need. oh, and Glimmer, upgrades cost glimmer. Last but not least, exotic shards, pick your favorite exotics and have shards ready for them, Exotics will probably jump to 3.0. The Tower in General: We have till march, so any packages and engrams you receive soon are all well and jolly, but heed this for the nearing of HoW. As tower gear was updated, so were rewards from engrams, so near march I recommend stashing up your postmaster packages and legendary engrams to maximize your chances of receiving updated gear. And to upgrade that gear, i would also recommend stashing up on completed bounties, this way you have an immediate way to upgrade your newly acquired gear. [b]Update: Engrams do not update, disregard engrams, not sure about packages.[/b] Well, that's all I have at the moment, that's my guide, utilize it or don't, I honestly don't really care too much. I only made this to rustle some jimmies. There are people who would set the world on fire just to watch it burn, I'm the type who would burn it just to make make snow angles on the resulting ashes, ash angels.
