I purchased the LDR 5001 sniper. is it worth it?
Tell me about this sniper.
EDIT: what im very happy about this sniper it has arc damage and armor piercing rounds

I used the LDR5001 maxed to 331 because it then allowed me to also have a solar exotic equipped for the wizards and a decent primary. It does the same damage as a maxed patience and time but, without taking up the exotic slot. I also now have one in fire and void. I think that says it all. I'm still amazed that the one exotic rule for guns hasn't been removed yet. The vanguard and standard raid legendaries are pretty much better than most exotics for target specific damage and perks so what's the point of the limit?

Great sniper if you have armor piercing rounds you can shoot though cover and kill things. Its very entertaining in PvP when people try to hide behind cover and you just shoot em dead. Also nice in PvE when mobs try to hide behind things to regen their shield. The Vangard NPC in the tower sells the Arc one with armor piercing.

Love this sniper. I have it arc. Didn't like it much until I leveled it up but love it now. I have ice breaker but still use this one too

I have all but last damage upgrade and I prefer it to my newly purchased IB due to the 6 in the clip and 21 spare. I still equip IB when I turn in bounties so I will see once I get the IB upgrade. I also have a known Horizon with explosive rounds which is fun to use and a Efrideet's spear I rolled to get armor piercing so I could take out players hiding behind stuff in crucible but have yet to get it to work. I am sure I will be using my LDR this week on the weekly's if I can get a PS4 invite or I will be soloing. I might go ahead and complete the upgrade on it.

I kept it after a nightfall like 2 weeks ago... I haven't used it but it looks OK, I got it again yesterday with solar burn and I dismantled it (I have ice breaker and black hammer) so it didn't have any chance lol

9 RepliesIt has the same stats as the Supremacy, but 1 less in the magazine. IMHO the Supremacy was the best sniper in the game (though I would say IB is a better weapon, not a better sniper). The raid sniper looks like it would be better, but I don't own one, so I can't say for sure. I think you will be happy with your purchase.

1 ReplyI use it instead of an icebreaker! Packs one hell of a punch with hardly any recoil! Great sniper in my opinion in the top 3 snipers in the game easily!
