Does Grimoire score effect chances of exotic loot drop?
I honestly doubt there is any truth to this, however I had someone tell me once that the number of ghosts you have/gold chests you've opened/the higher Grimoire score you have, the higher chance you have of getting exotics/legendaries. Can someone help me confirm or deny this?

When I hit 2690 Grim the game dropped the only two exotics Iv'e been wanting since launch in the same week. So, maybe....

I've heard the more you play the worse the drops are. It was something like if hard-core players got drops a lot they'd play less. I'm a hard-core player but I only got the mythoclast last week. During the 18 or so attempts it took I saw plenty of new players getting carried through it and getting the vex first time

2 RepliesA lot of the Grimoire cards apply small bonuses to things like exp earned, but I think some have an impact and allow certain gear to be dropped as loot. Like the crucible ones, if you complete so many control matches it allows shaders and marks/bonds/cloaks to drop etc.

2 RepliesTo be honest I never thought it did but over the past two weeks I upped my grimoire by around 400 and got to 2655. Since then I've received way more exotics, got ghorn red death and thunderlord within the past week. I'm not sure it directly correlates but in my case I think it might have helped idk.

I got HARD LIGHT the other week it's RNG dude [spoiler]random drop from Crucible [/spoiler] Sometimes you win.....most of the time you leave with blue engrams

I really don't think it has any relevance at all... Sometimes I feel like when I haven't played for a few days or so I get a nice drop to lure me back in but I'm very sure all these conspiracies etc about exotic drops and what to do 'don't touch that spirit bloom chest it lowers your chance of an exotic' are 100% speculation and a genuine coincidence that some of these things make any difference.
