When will religion die out?

When nuclear apocalypse breaks out and everyone dies. The small time between this and cult groups taking over is when it dies out.

2 RepliesReligion will never die. It will change though, it may be suppressed under a Government. But it will not die. One day soon science will become even more based upon faith than it is. What? You say. Science is based on FACTS! You declare. But how did the first microbe evolve from nothing. And, despite countless years of study and observation, why have we never seen a 2 cell mutation of a microbe? You are not a blind sheep. You are a bleating donkey who believes the donkeys around him are too faithful to their owner.

3 RepliesIt won't. When the existence of one higher power is fully disproven another will emerge. As crazy as they are look at scientologists. It was based on a book that the author even said was fiction. Now it's a "religion".

Have you examined the alternatives? I'm a biology student, and early evolution is nothing but guess work. One photosynthetic bacteria was eaten by a non-photosynthetic, and it somehow became the mitochondria? Give me a break. That sounds like some pagan myth to me. Ymir was killed by the gods, and they made the world out of his body... You, sir, have no idea what you protest about do you? You just protest.

Its a natural part of human nature to seek something greater than us. No matter how much you'd hate to accept it, religion will always be around, and they're only going to become more extreme and radical.
