The AFK Problem

It's nothing new. People abuse AFK for their own purposes. They don't have to do any work and have a small chance to get some really good loot. This isn't the first game or the last game that this will be an issue. The problem is when this issues transfer over to more genuine AFKs to the point where people say you should leave the strike entirely if your even away for a min. I was loading into a Strike and as I was loading in my sick gf woke up and requested hot tea. So I got up made it and came back. When I came back the strike and just started and the two players were punching me to the point where I fell of the ledge. A little annoyed I came back and just danced. They left shortly after. Then I had people responding to my story saying I should've left or that my gf could've waited or make her own tea. Does the community really feel this way or is there no sensible people on the forums? Should I really leave an entire strike if I'm only gone for a min. And at the beginning no less. Update: I realize this may not be common, but I don't use a kettle. I just take a simple mug of water and heat it in the microwave for 1:10 min. Throw in the bag, sugar, milk and done. Just to illustrate how quick this was and that I wasn't staring at a pot waiting to boil. Update: I think there needs to be a clear difference between someone who afks for a min cause life happens and someone who puts their Guardian in a corner, goes to watch TV, and comes back to move their joystick every couple of min. Not the same thing, but reacted to in the same way.

My dog puked yesterday right when I started an ROC. I was on my sparrow and everything. So I take care of the mess and hear this "buleep" one of the randoms sent me a message saying I was an "afk piece of shit". So when I was finished with the dog gurp, I picked up my controller , ran into battle, randy message boy dies (lol) and I leave him there dead, battling the hive standing on his dead corpse and wait for him to revive himself. I then proceeded to end the strike with about 90 kills more that him. So I sent him a message back "I was giving you a head start". So pleased with myself. Sometimes, people have real issues, if the guy makes it into battle for the end of the strike, I'm always okay with that, at least he made an effort to catch up. If they actually stay afk the entire strike, there's nothing we can do about it at the moment.
