You should've gotten the new strike for the nightfall and weekly. Then, you should've been locked out of the new Raid, the new missions, and all new weapons and Armor. That's how it should've been.

This is an old post, so I'm kinda just glossing over any replies here. I have since gotten the DLC and also since explained subsequent thoughts regarding this issue.
