Good post, but I'll answer why they got rid of old vendor gear. I think it boils down to a programming/space issue. If they kept the old gear and just tacked on the new stuff every time dlc dropped you'd have a vendor page that was way too long, plus the old gear is pointless. The new legendary gear is pretty much the same stuff with a new number.

Just buff the old stuff to meet with the new stuff? Lack of Content not being helped by removing content eh? Space shouldn't be a problem

But seriously, why would you buy the old gear? There would never be a reason, they both require level 20, because really the level cap is 20 and not 32. So if you go to a vendor and an item costs the same but is worse, you would pass it up. You could say well make cost different and/or lower the level cap, but it would seem like you'd be better off waiting until level 20 to get the better gear instead of wasting time leveling legendary gear that you're going to toss in a much quicker span than 3 months.
