I'm sure you all read all the post about trading and its benefits and it's downfalls so I'll skip right to my personal ideas.
Option 1: make some kind of cost on each trade for example , it's trade cost 5 motes of light , or maybe more like exotics could cost 10 and legendaries could be around 5.
Option 2: once the trade is successful the item would revert back to being completely un upgraded and would have to be upgraded completely again by its new owner.
Option 3: certain items can be on a ban list like for example raid armor , and certain weapons like the vex , this would keep people grinding for desirable loot while still having the benefits of trading for items to help them gain that loot.
I truly believe if they implement all of these options trading would not be game breaking enjoyable and fun , adding the cost will stop people from abusing it, adding the re lvling will force people to still Lvl what ever it is they receive so they wouldn't just be handed say a fully upgraded G-horn , and adding a ban list for certain items like raid armor would still make players grind for the games rarest items . They could also add a new page to the forums for just trading which would add a lot more communication and friend making.
Please share your ideas , thoughts , comments , suggestions , and bump so more people could see , trading would only make the game more fun.
Edit: suggestion from Campbell5214
Yes trading but no armor maybe and also let's say you can only trade through XÛR so whatever guns he has for upgrades is what you can sell.- share your suggestions guardians
Edit: suggestion from severCD
Feel like you should be able to trade within your raid group if someone gets something they already have, like the vex. -share your suggestions guardians

Edited by I Joe Guitar I: 1/20/2015 2:56:42 AMTrading was meant to be in the game, but was removed. If you think about it... the only way that rng can be used successfully in a game is if trading was implemented. The removal of trading from destiny turned rng into a useless thing.

I would restrict it to non raid/event (iron banner, queens wrath, etc.) weapons and armor, and only legendaries, no exotics whatsoever. Why? So the game doesn't become pay to play, you want the good stuff? You gotta grind. I'd put a trading/gifting system for useless stuff like materials, though (no raid exclusives). Maybe implement a trading system inside raids where you can only trade with people that got the loot.

The implementation of any in-game trading opens up the possibility of external real world trade networks. If you create a market, you will instantly have a black market. No thanks.

Sorry man, never really gonna happen. Bungie knows it, the whole world knows it. Heck, even the sweeping robot knows it

Edited by Bill Clinton: 1/20/2015 2:29:59 AMTrading leads to people selling armor/weapons. Selling this gear, for physical money, leads to people buying max level. People buying max level leads to legit players getting angry and leaving. Leaving equals death for Bungie and they don't even get the trading money... EDIT Fixed the baddest grammar.

No trading no

Never going to happen... ever

I see you included the yen.

When they finally implement trading, it better have no restrictions. Otherwise what's the point? Not likely though. Bungie is more concerned with having us play the game the way they want us to as opposed to playing how we want to. But whatever.....I hope we at least get transmog....

No thanks. If there is no economy there is no need to balance it.
-
I agree with all of those except opinion 3 due to the fact that not everyone can do the raid but they could make it more expensive to trade raid items.
-
They won't implement trading, they've already told us so.

I like this idea but I'm not sure what all would be on the ban list other then raid armour and Vex/necrochasm everything is fair game (at this point o just thought that bounty weapons too should be on the ban).

NO!!!

Much like you bumping your topic 5 times in one minute, trading is stupid and isn't going to happen
