At least read edit 2 if you're not gonna read all of this.
Exactly as it said. Why do they always do that? I rarely see Titans get more than one kill with that shit and when they do, it's usually because they were using it on one person but some unlucky soul happened to pass by and get caught in the crossfire. I know warlocks sometimes do the same thing with their Nova Bomb but it's not nearly as bad as this Titan shit. Most of the time, I see warlocks get 2+ kills, but Titans always only get one. Hell, they'll sprint at you with their shotgun while you're completely alone and then just FoP you. Like, seriously!? What the -blam!-!? What a -blam!-ing waste of a super. But you know what, go ahead and do that. At least you're only getting one kill.
EDIT: Fixed grammar mistake in last sentence. Your to you're
EDIT 2: I understand that people think I'm venting or bitching about getting killed by this all the time. That's not the case. I'm simply asking why do you Titans do this so often? It seems like a waste to FoH someone from behind when you could just shotgun them like I know you have. And often times they FoH one guy in the middle of 4 other guys and get wrecked immediately after. Seems awfully wasteful so why?

2 RepliesReasons I fist of havoc single targets. -stop a Bladedancer super at zero kills instead of giving him a free kill streak -stop a Gunslinger super before four of my teammates die. -prevent a zone capture in control -keep my own kill streak alive when someone gets the drop on me (panic mode engage) -take down a self rezzed warlock. Who can one shot melee me. -take down an enemy who just got heavy ammo before Thunderlord or Gjallarhorn or Hunger of Crota or Truth lays waste to my team - feeling vindictive in a losing match, to stop a 10 kill streak or more of a truly elite player. -in Rumble because Rumble. These are all good reasons and only a few of them are a waste (mostly when I'm just ticked at a particular player and hunting an enforcer medal)
-
Because if you wait to get 2+ people together to super, you might wait the entire match to use it. I find it more effective to take the free kill and let it start charging again. Of course im one of those shotgunning/shoulder charging b*tches so don't mind me xD
-
Because unlike nova bomb, you have to run up to the flag and THEN super, and while you are running you die. Only thing FOH is good for is killing bubbles. Jerks.
-
Probably cause fist of havoc is a garbage super. You can spot a titan spriting at you a mile away. So many times I've shot down some poor sap leaping at me with FoH. And I'm just one guy if two people saw him, well there's even less chance the attack would complete. It's pretty much a range-less nova bomb that puts you in a bad position afterwards. Some people use it very well but people are simply to aware it's coming nowadays.

1 ReplyA titan used fist of panic on me and proceeded to tea bag me because I killed him 8+ times in a row and was always out gunned I self Rez and kill him (strangely enough he still didn't notice my flaming body until I took down his shield) He later on got no land beyond 0_o
-
I use mine when it's active. If I only get one then oh well. If I get more than that, cool beans. Either way it's a free kill/s

2 RepliesWe don't wanna know the situational uses for Fist of Havoc we only wants to know why Fist of -blam!- Panic? Should the big mighty titan not be a brave ass soldier? It's like everytime u run around a corner in crucible and facing an enemy u'll get a heart attack. Just joking :'D I love to beat your titan asses :*
-
1 ReplyBecause otherwise you'll spend an enture game looking for people grouped up and then when you do, you get killed before you get close enough to said group because they see you coming from a mile away and FOH has a range of about 5 feet.
-
1 ReplyI was playing a casual game of rumble with my 2 friends with the usual friendly trash talk and having fun, my friend was a titan... I kept making fun of his shoulder charge and Fist of Panic. He ran at me (I was the only one there ) and fist of panicked the ground and my warlock ninja instincts kicked in. I jumped back and dodged the attack and threw my hadouken in his mouth... The only thing I said to him for a few minutes was " that's what happens when you're a titan ".

Edited by XMalakhX: 1/19/2015 4:48:59 AMOh excuse me... I'm sorry, my special doesn't last for like 20 seconds at a time and I have to get well within shotgun range to do it like some other classes. Do it when you can, where you can. Edit: Chances are with a group of people who are halfway decent, you'll get your butt kicked well before you even land on any group more than 2 people. You have to catch them by surprise or on a tight corner. Against below average pvpers, sure, but against decent players? Heh. Yeah....right....

Edited by Swiftlock: 1/19/2015 4:51:06 AMBecause what else are they supposed to do when someone is getting the upper hand over them? Stand there and die? Nova Bomb is better at multikills because it has RANGE. Fist of Havoc has very short reach without certain perks/equipment, and even then, big groups of players generally aren't going to let a Titan get that close to them to begin with unless you REALLY catch them off guard, which is not a common occurrence.
-
It's known as a panic super so maybe they erm... Panicked
-
Fist of havoc is not a ranged super. It is meant to be more of a OH SHIT super unless you have helm of in most light.
-
... cuz it be fist o' PANIC do. fist o' HAVOC be use at da rit time

Yesterday I brought out my arc blade and was in the middle of killin a bunch of people went to slice somebody in the back and he was chasing someone about to hit them in the back and he used fist of panic on the guy he could've just killed him by hitting him or shooting him. The guy was weak. but it killed me in the process cause this Db was fist of panicking the one shot guy in the back.
-
I only do it when i'm reloading or when there is more than one person.
-
1 ReplyTake what you can get. It's not like a team huddles together and waits to get FOH/nova bomb to the face.
-
Free kills are free kills, yo.
-
1 ReplySome just panic i try to use it on a mass cap attempt but i panic sometimes
-
The same reason why you nova bomb only one person
-
Me with my arc blade: One person, close, use 77 wizard One person, far, use Bad JuJu [Yay heavy ammo, better use it before I die] Oh hey 2 people, grenade and Bad JuJu Oh blam 3 people, arc blade them alllllll
-
I laugh when titans do that to me. Meanwhile a group of our team is stacked up capping a point lol
-
Play a Striker Titan in crucible for awhile. You'll figure it out.
-
Low health, but I've seen warlocks only bomb one dude

2 RepliesEdited by X7Divinity: 1/19/2015 3:05:03 AMDon't play Titan so it's hard to say but it does seem to be the case. Have read a few comments and I think some clarification is needed. I doubt the OP is referring to stopping another super or using it strategically to stop a zone cap. I believe he is referring to the situation where the Titan might have reasonably won the firefight with gun play. My guess is that it's a tough super to line up well on a lot of maps. FWIW, I've noticed it happening to me more when I have a good match and my Hawkmoon is 2 shotting everyone. I take it as a sign of respect that they had no other chance.

Control point maybe as I will use aftershock to pick up extra kills at the control point of the other enemies coming in. Other than that - I will use it to negate another player's super. Any other time I wait until I can get three people with it.
