How am i able to jump just as high on Earth and the Moon? Now, movies and science have thus far, led me to believe that gravity on earth is greater than that on the moon. However, Destiny scraps that rediculous notion...
"Of course you can jump universally high throughout the galaxy! It must be some left over whatnots from the Golden Age, y'know...they terraformed and made artificial gravity and jazz like that." Ok, i can buy that - but its kinda comic book writing lazy. Would be nice to see some difference throughout the galaxy, it would give a definite feel to a planet if certain aspects of the planet affected the way you fight.
Ah, it doesn't really matter or affect my enjoyment but still... why can't i moon jump?
(and WHY was the Archon Priest allowed his weapon when he was imprisoned?!")

4 RepliesActually its explained in one of the grimoires (dont remember which ) but it explains how the guardians gear adjusts to the gravity if each planet. For the priests gun, they didnt give it to him. Its locked up in his cell. If you jump into the pod (after he comes out of course), you can see where it was ripped off the wall. Pretty cool detail, really.

A Traveller did it.

yeah....venus is close at about 0.9 Gs, mars is like 0.3 Gs, moon is like 0.16 Gs....special guardian suit adaptation.....?

4 RepliesBecause... Bungie only has game devs and no experts in any field or discipline other than games. No weapon experts, engineers, or Neil degrasse Tyson

Tbh I'm more concerned as to why the hell the hive just open the gates and let you walk right in, allowing you to kill some of their most important people. I thought they were supposedly intelligent
-
1 ReplyI think they were just restoring his soul in that pod. Not looked oddly fallen to be an actual prison pod.
-
Bungie could tell you why, but they don't have time to explain why they don't have time to explain.

1 ReplySPACE MAGIC DUH

1 ReplySince the prison pods are floating in space, maybe they just leave a gun in there so that whoever's inside can in a weak moment blow up their own pod and commit suicide by blasting themselves into open space. They are in stasis though so they are probably asleep anyway.

Uhm, I was on the moon and saw a bird flying there, did I miss something in science class?

9 Replies"Galaxy" Game only takes place in our solar system OP. Science.

If Venus can have green plants on a surface hot enough it can melt metal then gravity can be constant.
-
2 RepliesArchon Priest's sould was regenerated by the fallen (he wasn't just sitting in cell twiddling his thumbs this entire time), so maybe his weapon was just that important to him that it was a part of his soul?
-
1 ReplyWow that's true. Why did he have a weapon
-
I think your suit is programed to keep the stabalizer on your boots set so the gravity "seems" the same throughout all worlds

Edited by Nate: 1/23/2015 9:52:30 PMThe Traveler. That's why. Also, why didn't we just push the Priest off the ledge and into the lava behind him?

It's a game bro.

Believe it or not that is actually explained..... in the lore that's not actually in the game. :/

What's with the giant spherical machine space God?

1 ReplyCrota's ass density is so great it compensates for the 8.185 m/s^2 difference.
