How to swap armour and weapons without returning to the tower!
So I'm on a train at the moment to Dundee and while dicking around with what my characters are wearing with the destiny app I found the 'move to vault function'
Then when going into the vault I found the 'take from vault' and 'equip on character option'
I've been jumping between characters and swapping weapons for longer than I can remember and it takes ages; turns out I can do it all on my fücking phone
I should pay attention more
Edit 1: The post was originally called 'feel like a tool' because I didn't know anything about this function but by the looks of it neither did many of my fellow guardians so I renamed it
Edit 2: this seems like a short lived function guardians =( after my initial success the options have now disappeared after working the first time round
Edit 3: ok so turns out this is trending! Guess we could eventually hope that bungie gets this working!

I have a friend who told me about this a couple of weeks ago, a couple of days later he told me not to try it as it had lost his ice breaker in transit, good job he had a spare. I would leave this alone until its stable.

Get auto touch for android and iOS, you can automate actions in both systems to swap weapons etc

1 ReplyI seriously hope they get this back up and working and people dont try and break it with glitching. I would love to swap my weapons around quickly and easily for nightfalls and stuff when you want to use specific ones for the burn dmg.

Before you google destiny duplication glitch. My friend tried it and lost an exotic. It will either dupe it or take it...

Not a new discovery. It's already known that you can get the options to appear when you first load an item. So a slow Internet connection, or a slow phone will give you more time so you can see the equip option.

As of now there is no option to move or take from the vault but you can change whatever weapons and armor you currently have on your character. Bump this because I didn't know about it until just now reading this post!

1 Replynext customer exploit coming soon. make the changes to an upgraded version of the existing app for some kind of fee. the "standard" version of the app will be further dumbed down but will still be free to everyone as to not look like total corporate money grubbing A-holes...cough, cough existing DLC on the disc cough, cough.

They used to have those options. They got rid of it because people were trying to exploit it on the app while in game. They wanted to avoid duplicating items.

Can't see any of those options... I really hope they bring it in though because it's really needed. It would be great to be able to set my load out before going online

Edited by Kil (Inept): 1/19/2015 5:19:28 PMI can see the options briefly as I tap a weapon and hit the 3 dots menu icon that appears next to the search icon in the top right corner. Once the weapon fully loads the only option is a greyed out 'equip item'. For a split second you see 'equip item' 'move from vault' 'move to vault'. If I'm super fast and click one before it changes I get 'item not found' if press equip. 'System temporarily disabled for maintenance' if I press move from vault. Looks like they're working on it. Would be super handy to only need one set of weapons.

2 RepliesI noticed this a few weeks ago. I could get the context menu to say "move to vault" and "take from vault" but once the item has loaded, it disappears. It looks like they put it in the app and took it out again, or was a WIP and never got finished. Either way we NEED this.

when you choice the weapon in the vault or character inventory the "move from vault" or "Move to Vault" options will show up for a really short time but even you manage to press it the app will come back with an error message. However, if you go into the character inventory and equip items from there its work perfectly. If the console is not processing a lot stuff like loading contents and graphic, it is an instant change but it seems to be slow down a lot when the console is busy. Also, the app need to be on an connect with the service without time out, its happened to me and the inventory status was not synchronize properly. It still a bit "glitchy: but at least that's something to help on changing weapons without get into the character screen.
