*sigh* Is beating Crota the only way to get a helmet?
Seriously. I managed to scrape together a team. We made it to Crota. We quit because it was getting late. Now I can't get everyone together again. It seems to be the case every week. In fact, I'm level 32 without ever having beat Crota. Half of my clan (which is small to begin with) quit until the next dlc drops, and the randoms I've met are unreliable at best. All I want is the freaking helmet, so I can wear my Don't Touch Me gauntlets and still be 32. I'd take a matchmaking team of randoms at this point. It's maddening.
Edit: Thanks guys for the tips on finding raid teams. I beat Crota twice last night. I was even sword bearer (took me a couple tries, but I'm getting the hang of it). Still no helmet, but at least I know where to find teams.
Edit 2: How did this thread suddenly come back to life? Lol. Well whoever said I probably would never get it seems to be right. I've killed Crota around 17 times now, and still don't have a helmet. Four of those kills were on hard. I did manage to get all the weapons, save for Black Hammer, so it wasn't a complete waste. Plus, I learned about LFG from this post. Still ... It's super annoying to never get the damn helmet, and it's making me lose my drive to keep playing. Maybe it's time for a hiatus before I start to despise this game.

I have the Helmet and am currently 32, but I don't use it because I have Symbiote and Knucklehead. I use Knucklehead because of its perk of more super energy from non-guardian kills, and main Bladedancer for its invisibility (I'm 32, so I'm usually holding the Sword). Really want Mask of the Third Man, though. I'm also leveling the Don't Touch Me Gauntlets for the first part of the raid only, 'till I get enough shards to max the raid helm and use it the whole way.

1 ReplyYes it's the only way. And it's easy to find a team. People who complain either don't know how or don't try. Go to recruitment and look at the posts with a lot of replies and look for The Crotas end page for your system. Then post on it saying your level and what your looking for. You'll find a full team in minutes

Helmet DOES only come from crota. Period.

Only fought crota twice so i cant complain but i want damn helmet and chest.

1 ReplyCrota isnt too rough, you just need someone with swordbearer experience, a few good rocket launchers, doesnt even have to be the jellyhorn, and good communication

Dude get on lfg and get a crota checkpoint. Seriously. I do it 4 or 5 tines a week. I'm on xbox one and can run sword if you can find a group.
