If your doing roc strikes with high level friends with good weapons it really doesn't take that long. However if your getting paired with other people who are same level as you and pretty much same weapons it takes by far longer and doesn't seem like you level it up at all. My suggestion is get high level friends to help drag you through roc strikes. Make sure you do the weekly heroic and nightfall strikes as well. Those two get you a ton of Xp. If your on Xbox 360 il help you out.

It's much easier to pick a faction and run for them. Every regular bounty goes to that faction as long as your wearing their class item. The downfall is that the factions only deal in crucible marks and comendations.

I get what you're saying! And yeah dude MW2 was my favorite CoD!!!!! I think if the vanguard ranks were easy than the rewards wouldn't be as good.
