Halo is gone forever.
343 is turning Halo into a whole other game, and I don't like it. For example the small online playlist and the shitty graphics and thoughts put into the game. I don't even have to say anything about it just watch the trailer or play the beta for yourself, it sucks. Comment if you agree.

What part of Halo is gone? The equal starts are still there, the power weapon control is still there, shields still there, the exact same scoping mechanic is still there.

6 RepliesI'm sorry, but if you can sit there and say Halo 3 was more fun than H5's beta, I can't help but laugh at you. Seriously, the older Halo games were good for their time, but nowadays they're shit. Really. Halo CE? It's ok for nostalgic purposes. Halo 2? It's almost fun. Halo 3? If you're truly desperate to play something else, it may work every now and then. None of them are good anymore. They're slow, archaic and miss any sense of fun compared to modern games.

If they have even starts, and on-map weapon pickup, then it satisfies mandatory criteria for Halo, if you ask me.

8 RepliesSlow down a little. It's just a beta. Beta's are meant to test out certain modes and maps to get feedback so they can patch things up before the final release. The actual game won't be coming out till the fall. Plus, it's not cool that games keep getting punched out year after year with the same old things. Is it cool that Madden, NBA 2k, CoD, Halo, and other sports/MLG FPS games come out every year to make the last entry irrelevant.

My time on halo 3 was probably the pinnacle of online gaming for me. It had an awesome community, custom game lobbies were amazing places to be and it wasn't so massively fast paced and competitive that you couldn't take it easy and still have a good time if you wanted to without just getting plain frustrated. It wasn't so much the game itself but the vibrant world around it which I used to love spending hours losing myself in. and to me that seems to be missing from the newer halo games, but then again, maybe I just got old haha. yeah... halo 3 was awesome :)

1 ReplySure, it's not what it was, but it's still halo nonetheless. This may be the nostalgia speaking, but I think that halo 5 still may have a chance of redeeming itself with the story. But as for the multiplayer, the controls do feel very cod-like with the "smart scope", but the teamwork aspect is what separates it from the rest. I am however pretty disappointed in some of the redesigns ([i]one barreled[/i] rocket launcher). But really, cut them a little slack. There isn't really any way to please the entire fanbase, given that you all yell and complain about every little thing because 343 made it instead of Bungie. Compare it to Bungie's latest glorified demo of a game. TL;DR: May not be perfect, story should be good, you guys whine too much.
