Can somebody tell me the difference between orange ATTACK numbers and purple ATTACK numbers?

Its in accordance with the element damage done to an enemies shield. Once shield is gone, yellow are for crits and white for normal damage
-
What the colours represent doesn't really matter. What matters is matching weapon colour to enemy shield colour. For example, fallen captains have blue shields, so blue (arc) damage is more damaging to them. Another example: vex minotaurs have purple shields, so purple (void) damage is more damaging to them. And so on and so forth...

As below this is the elemental damage, you will need it for certain shields... It will also prove vital when you start challenging the nightfall

Purple means void to a void shield. And blue means arc to an arc shield. You want to aim for colored dmg numbers as they are always greater than white.

4 RepliesCertain enemies have shields. Each shield has a different colour. Match the weapon colour witht he shield to take them down faster.
