Edited by Artorias: 1/19/2015 11:19:03 AMIt's still the best primary for the first part of CE. Have explosive rounds on and Thralls are one shot, land a headshot and you can kill a whole pack.

1 ReplyEdited by Big_Zimm: 1/19/2015 5:41:43 AMAttack value isn't actually the amount of damage the weapon will do, that value is the weapons impact. Attack value is the percentage of impact (actual damage) the weapon will do. A 300 attack indicates the weapon will hit for 100% damage against level 30 enemies and below. Attack values of 331 will also hit for 100% against level 30 enemies. This means that Fatebringer will be as good as your 331 weapons in Nightfalls and Weekly strikes and in the first part of Crota's End. At the bridge enemies are leveled to 31 so you'll notice a decrease in damage, but at the lamps enemies are leveled to 30 so you won't see a decrease in damage. Crota's End on Hard and after the bridge in CE normal are the only places you wouldn't want to use Fatebringer, but in everything else enemies are no higher than 30 so you're at no disadvantage using it, or any other 300 attack weapons. This is a good article to explain attack value better than I can do myself. http://www.tentonhammer.com/guides/destiny/destiny-weapon-guide-attack-and-impact

Hell yes

1 ReplyAbsolutely! Fatebringer is still a beast and one of the best weapons in the game.

hell yes its worth it

6 RepliesNot worth it. Don't listen to the crowd. Stats wise it sucks. People love it because it is from VOG and they had it for a while. The Devil You Don't is way better on every scale. I turn mine into energy everytime I get one, Ive gotten 4.

Oh yes

7 RepliesDoes a bear shit in the woods?
-
7 RepliesDoes decreased damage to enemies past level 30 since it caps at 300 damage, so yes if you don't plan on using it in CE
-
Its still 100% the best legendary hand cannon in any scenario. The only place it won't be good is hard mode CE
-
It makes missions with choke points full of enemies (i.e. all of them) heaps easier. Tier one enemies are blasted into smithereens with the arc damage. Very satisfying weapon.
-
Absolutely. Right now you don't notice much a difference between 331 and 300 especially since everything but Crotas end is no higher than 30. And even in crotas end as a 32 with a fatebringer you will do work. Upgrade it!! I have 3 one for each character
-
Uh duh
-
Yes. Still good for events capped at level 30

Edited by Kloudi: 1/19/2015 4:50:51 AMRealistically everyone cares about attack power. How many of you really care about your defense number? Power is in the light level for both attack and defense. Ive 2 manned crotas end with FB. Stop judging attack numbers.

5 RepliesUpgrade that shit now. It's the best. If they ever bring it to 331 I might never carry another gun with me. Ever. I would leave my exotics special weapons and heavy weapons in the vault and buy white guns with a new character, then equip those and roll through hugging my fatebringer the entire strike/raid/PvP. Fatebringer is love. Fatebringer is life. Lol.

Fatebringer for life
-
I will still be using my fatebringer when House of Wolves is released. -blam!- whoever tells me to switch weapons.
-
Answer: yes it's still amazing
-
2 RepliesNo it sucks just break it down
-
For sure!!! Still my favorite gun for PvE.

I've been trying to get Fatebringer so long it started to driving me nuts. Instead I ranked IB to 5 and got the next best thing, Timur's Lash. Thorn is nice too.
