Melee class would suck in Lightswitch. Nuff said on that.
The flight, I approve of, but I'd like it more as enemy vehicles you could steal. Though it'd make sense for us to have actual offensive vehicles to fight the enemy ones. There's already three enemy ships to kill, and fighters could be cool.

Exactly! Strafe mechanics translate to barrel maneuvers. Strap guns to the front of the sparrow and you've got something new and fun to upgrade.
-
And there's nothing stopping the melee class from having resistance to melee attacks.

Which would make it overpowered outside of Lightswitch.

The point is - swinging a blade of Crota or going in with a hunter's arc blade felt fun and fluid. A melee class can work with native advantages and disadvantages in place. Melee resistance. Advantage. Lack of ranged attacks. All up personal. Disadvantage. You have to fight smart against gargantuan/ground stomping enemies. Lots of possibilities come in to play. The blade itself doesn't even have to be as strong as a Crota or an Arc blade. Select from broadsword laser swords or fencing cutlasses made of light, and go in hacking away at the enemy's until they drop. Imagine having a steel arc light blade, a solar beam extending from a sleek metallic hilt (think lightsaber but with Destiny-style particle effects), or even a void sword! (Don't know what the hell a void sword is). I'd like to upgrade my sword to where I can cut straight through the Bastards! Maybe some swords can even focus their solar/arc/void energy into a ranged void blast, an electrical chain arcing from one enemy to the next, or a solar cone effect attack! Those are SUPER possibilities. ;)
