In today's society we are a fast paced, always busy, selfish people.
When the stress and pressure become too much we tend to see therapists and shrinks that we pay hundreds of (insert currency here) to make us feel better.
This is not the answer.
Before the abundance of onestopshop shrinks and finks people lived similar paced lives and had more interaction with other humans. When things got tough or too much for an individual they would turn into their local bar and hash things out with the bartender or other fellow humans with similar problems.
More often than not things would get resolved and decompression would take place allowing individuals to cope with whatever was ailing them.
Today corporations push out the small town bars and turnover rates dont allow consistent patrons to have the security that the same person will be behind that bar every night. Most bartenders only care about making money anyways and dont feel like they have to listen to peoples problems because "its not part of the job"
Things have pushed so far away from "old fashioned" methods and traditions to a more complicated mess of desensitized cogs turning the machine we call life.
I blame iPhones.
