I regret buying IB
I just bought icebreaker and I feel sort of dirty.... It's the first exotic weapon I've bought! I've gotten blessed with drops , exotic bounties or raid gear.
I really don't need it ... I feel like it's going to make it far to easy! At Least with my black hammer I have to activate the perk and it's just so satisfying.
What's your opinion?
I should have jumped on "truth" a few weeks back ... -blam!- :(

8 RepliesI've been dropped NONE exotics, a total number of none multiplied by 5, nun. I've earned my thorn and bad juju and super good advice, and had to buy my exotic armor, I'm glad xur sold something decent since bungies rng has screwed me over personally. Also received 2 or 3 legendary drop engrams, that's it.

4 RepliesMy opinion. Go lie down and wait for that feeling to pass.. Then go enjoy using your Ice Breaker that you bought with the strange coins you earned. Do you feel "dirty" when go to grocery store buy food rather than growing it yourself?

Icebreaker to me doesn't feel dirty or anything, it's kick gives it a learning curve, and the ammo regen makes swapping to other weapons and having ammo possible. I love black hammer, and since getting it I use icebreaker a lot less, but depending on the situation, having icebreaker can make a difference. This is also a game, have fun! Icebreaker also helps with some solo situations for a lot of people, so I don't view it as cheap or anything like that, but a helping hand.

Oh come on. You're at endgame. You're supposed to buy good shit from xur! There's no real quests or anything to earn exotic weapons besides bounties. Congrats you shithead lol. You earned that shit. If you ever feel unworthy like this again you'll have to come clean my kitchen for free.

1 ReplyYou bought it, I was given mine pre-TDB in a tiger strike. We both have an IB, so, everything's ok. I 'earned' mine through strikes, you 'earned' strange coins and bought it. both legitimately 'earned' Those who say xur isn't earning it, well, you have to earn strange coins - either slow as hell doing strikes, crucible and hoping you get them from engrams or by doing the weekly heroic and nightfall. Either way, we both acquired the weapon, we just got it through different means.

Don't feel dirty or bad. Bungie gave us a way to get exotics we wouldn't otherwise get from rng. I got my IB. I can't wait to use it!

Listen, Xur is a loophole in the RNG loot system designed by bungie to give you a guaranteed drop of the weapon you are wanting. It may be a different exotic every week, but if you run a character on Nightfall and end up getting 5 Strange Coins as opposed to a legendary or exotic weapon that you may spend 45 minutes to an hour trying to grind out for... it sux. Especially, if you get the shaft for a month straight. To put it into another perspective, I didn't get my first piece of VoG raid armor until my [b]12th[/b] time through, while other friends were getting full raid sets their 1st time. Xur was my only solice. I was absolutely stuck at level 29 for the longest. On top of all that, I kept getting the same weapons I already had over and over (not one exotic). The point is, do not depend on RNG for the weapons you want. You may end up waiting 3 or more months to get it. Xur is your friend sent to you from bungie. Enjoy your new IB bro.

Most of the trolling on Xurr comes from people who got their weapons through RNG and feel as if there's only a few people in the DA HOLE WERLD DAT GOT DAT!?? And would like to remain feeling special, so when Xurr sells the only weapon that boosted their self esteem, their whinny and average noob is revealed. If anything, at least with RNG you should be ahead of everyone with the upgrades on it.

Don't listen to the people who degrade you. I've only got 2 weapons from Xur and I have 10 weapons total. I don't feel dirty at all. It's a system in the game and it's meant to be USED not ABUSED. People like you and me deserve it, not the scrubs who got it as a drop. Cheer up man!
